Anti-Amestrianism is hostility or distrust toward Amestrians, the Amestrian people, or their supporters in the international community. Anti-Amestrianism can take many forms, from moderated distrust or negative stereotypes of the Amestrian State and / or people, for example, to murderous hatred such as that displayed in the 2006 Kahanistan riots.

Allanea has been hostile to Amestria for some time. However, hostility to the Amestrian people seems to be rare.

Anti-Amestrianism in Kahanistan

Kahanistanian anti-Amestrianism takes several forms. On the far-right, one sees the visceral cruelty of the riots that broke out on disclosure of war crimes committed in Torontia by Amestrian soldiers. Their views often incorporate blood libels and charges of Amestrian control of the Kahanistanian government. The far-right, especially factions loyal to the former Kahanistanian General, Abdullah Hassan al-Ghazi, are notorious for liberal use of the blood libel and charges of cannibalism. These charges are detailed in the notorious hate tract On the Amestrians and their Lies, which is dismissed by even some openly anti-Amestrian politicians as extremist.

Among Kahanistanian moderates, anti-Amestrianism takes less virulent forms. Dr. Margaret Delray, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kahanistan, has generally dismissed the strongest anti-Amestrian charges as hate-filled rhetoric. However, she is known to be very critical of the lack of transparency in the Amestrian State, and has made it official policy that under her tenure, the Soviet Republic will not normalize relations until alleged war criminals are punished. The Soviet Republic as a whole, however, is generally friendly to the Amestrian State and its people.

Among the far left, anti-Amestrianism tends to restrict itself to anti-war protestors and those in the know of war crimes. While fascist propaganda painting Amestrians as imperialistic has targeted the Kahanistanian left in order to co-opt them, a practice begun by General al-Ghazi, most leftist anti-Amestrians are either dupes of the right, pacifists, or Communists (though it must be made clear that not all Communists are anti-Amestrian.)

St. Fedski is generally hostile to Amestria for the war crimes in Torontia. Anti-Amestrianism is quite rampant there.
