The Armed Holy Democratic Empire of Asgarnieu is a nation that can be found in the south-eastern portion of The 10000 Islands. It is a peacful nation, and a powerful nation. Loved by many, Feared by many, and Respected by all, Asgarnieu is a wonderful place to live, work, and visit.

National Symbols

The National Animal of Asgarnieu is The Asgarnian Grey Lion. The animal can be found in Asgarnieu's many lush forests. Recently, Grand Parliment and Congress have legalized hunting of the lion. The National Currency is The Asgarnian Gold Point (₣, AGP). It is equivalent to $12 USD. The nation is considered one of the richest in the region.

Imports and Exports

Asgarnieu trades with several nations, and has a wide variety of import/export items. Asgarnieu cheifly imports military equipment, titanium, bauxite, tungsten, uranium, plutonium, and cheese. Asgarnieu exports military equipment, oil, textiles, potash, building materials, and salt. Asgarnieu earns over 200 trillion Asgarnian Gold Points every year in trade.

Transportation

Asgarnieu has one of the largest transport sectors in the region. AirAsgarnieu© and Asgarnieu Rail© are the leaders in transport. Most flights are actually carried out by the goverment. Most commercial flights are made from Asgarnieu to islands in The Pacific. AirAsgarnieu© has several terminals in other countries as well. Asgarnieu Rail© services the entire nation, with rail stations in nearly every major city.

Government

The Armed Holy Democratic Empire of Asgarnieu is a nation with a mixed government. Leaders of the government are The President, Grand Chancellor, Vice President, and Vice Chancellor.

They are the leaders of the nation. The President is the supreme leader of the nation. The Grand Chancellor is the second in command, and oversees Foriegn Relations. The Vice President is the President's right-hand man. The Vice Chancellor is in charge of the Grand Parliment.

-The Legislative Branch consists of The Grand Parliment and The Congress.

Grand Parliment is the legislation that handles decisions within the nation itself. It works on the national level. Congress handles decisions within the Provinces/Territories. Any issues that need to be addressed by a Province/Territory are decided upon by Congress.

-The Judicial Branch consists of The Asgarnian Grand Court.

The Asgarnian Grand Court is the main court that handles all national-level court cases. All other court cases are handled on a provincial/territorial level.

Climate and Weather

Asgarnieu's weather is impecable. Weather is usually mild, with warm summers, and cool winters. In some regions, there are several deserts, but lush green mixed decidious and coniferous forests cover most of the nation. Snow covers most of the higher elevations, usually above 9,500 feet. There are several such areas in the nation. In the eastern portion of the nation, however, there is much rain. Over 78 inches fall there every year, mostly because it is a rain forest area.

Education

Asgarnians hold their education very highly. It is manditory for all citizens to attend at least 12 years of schooling. Secondary Edcuation (College/University) is optional, but reccomended. There are 4 levels of manditory education.

Communications

Asgarnian citizens are a well-connected people. It is required for all citizens to own and operate a Cellular Telephone. The reasoning behind this is simple: emergencies happen. There are currently more main-line telephones connected than there are citizens. The government is also well-connected. Asgarnieu has 12 Orbital Satelites in space. 8 are for military and government use. Satelites are as follows:

The government maintains all satelites and is working on a project to create a satelite that is a weapons platform. The government expects to have a Tungsten-Steel alloy projectile-firing satelite up and in orbit within 2 years.

Provinces and Territories

There are many provinces in the nation of Asgarnieu. There are 12 provinces to be exact. They are: Druid Province, New Asgarnieu Province (City/Province), Golan Province, Tippan Province, Ruppio Island (Uninhabited National Preserve), Dorado Province, Duff Province, Vegas Province, Vandilla Province, Trupp Province, Pueblo Province and Farrken Province. There are 3 Territories. They are Norvott, Tange, and Banglem. The provinces and territories are all very large. Druid Province, the most heavily populated is home to the national capital. Ruppio Island is an uninhabited wildlife preserve. It was annexed on November 8. There are several species that live on that island which are found nowhere else on the planet. The area is a national treasure and is treated as such.

Overseas Territorial Claims

Asgarnieu, like most nations, has a large amount of Territorial Claims. Most of them come from Asgarnian explorers in earlier centuries. The Overseas Territorial Claims are as follows:

• Portion of Antartica-Antartica Claim extends from South Pole to South Ross Ice Shelf and is 27 miles wide.

• Portion of Northern Greenland-Northern Greenland Hans Island is claimed.
  
• Portion of Northern Canada-Northern Canada Islands in claim are Ellesmere Island and Prince of Wales Island.
  
• Spratly Islands-Spratly Islands All of Spratly Islands are claimed.
  
• Pukapuka Island-Pukapuka Island Pukapuka Island is claimed by Asgarnieu.
  
• Juan de Nova Island-Juan de Nova Island Claimed by Asgarnieu.
  
• Tahiti-Tahiti Only The Island of Tahiti is claimed by Asgarnieu.

National Holidays

November 8 is Annexation Day, November 18 is Freedom Day in Asgarnieu, December 8 is Peace Day, Christmas is on December 25, April 13 is Flag Day, and August 10 is Warrior's Day. All holidays are days-off for government workers, and citizens regularly close up their shops. Of all the holidays, November 18's Freedom Day is regarded in the highest. It is almost expected of citizens to attend local parades, firework shows, and parties.

Language

The official languges of Asgarnieu are English and Russian. English and Russian are taught in schools and are spoken by 100% of the population. Other languages spoken are French, German, and Portuguese. They are spoken by 32%, 22%, and 45% of the population respectively. The Fl'eepe N'aakty Tribe speaks its own dialect of English, Ruggjort. It is not recognised, but is spoken by 935,400 citizens.

Currency

The currency of Asgarnieu is the Asgarnian Gold Point. It is worth approxamately 12 U.S. Dollars ($). It is marked by the symbol "₣". All exchanges of currency in Asgarnieu are made with Asgarnian Gold Points. International businesses may use the U.S. Dollar for exchanges around the world.

Religion

Most of the citizens in Asgarnieu believe in Chistianity in one form or another, but there are also several other faiths. Muslims make up 7%, Jewish make up 10%, and other religions make up 13%. 10% of the citizens are Agnostic or Atheist. Atheists are taxed by the government. All churches are made to pay the same taxes most businesses have to pay.

Culture and Background

Asgarnieu is a mosaic of culture. The country is a host for over 100 different ethnicities. The majority consists of the ancestors of the Fl'eepe N'aakty tribe, which is over 1,000 years old. Over one-twentyfifth of the population is of the Fl'eepe N'aakty race. Other ethnicities include anglo, hispanic, black, and asian.

Armed Forces

There are currently 9 branches of the military in Asgarnieu. Asgarnieu has one of the most powerful military forces within the 10,000 Islands, and is active in the Ten Thousand Islands Treaty Organization (TITO). The Asgarnian Armed Forces consists of several branches. The branches are:

The exact number of Regular Military troops in the Asgarnian Collective Armed Forces is classified. The military is backed up by 129,500,000 National Guard troops, and each branch maintains 1,000,000 Reserve troops. Military service is compulsory for all males who are 18 years old, and they must serve for at least 18 months. Women can join at their will. The military draft will consider any male who is 16-39 years old. Women are not eligible for the draft. TITO is also an active military force in Asgarnieu, but is reserved for use in TITO Defense roles and do not join battle with Asgarnian Forces. There are also TITO Troops within Asgarnieu's borders. Recently, a Coalition between Asgarnieu and NeoVelvien was formed. It is called The ANC. ANC stands for Asgarnian/NeoVelvien Coalition. The primary role of ANC troops is defense of strategic military and political sites. Also, The ANC can be used in battle to assist in assaults or raids.

Asgarnian Army

The Asgarnian Army is the main branch of the Asgarnian Military. The Army is the branch that sees the most action in combat. They are deployable within 6 hours of any call. The Asgarnian Army is the largest branch of the Asgarnian Military and is a force to be reckoned with. The Asgarnian Army is trained extensively, and is very well equipped. Eligibility for joining the Asgarnian Army is defined as having extremely good body health, high muscle percentage, high IQ, and high endurance.

Asgarnian Air Force

The Asgarnian Air Force is the 3rd largest branch of the military. It's main purpose is to provide close support for ground forces, perform long/medium/short range attacks, defend the Homeland, and protect national and foriegn airspace. The Asgarnian Air Force mainly operates fixed-wing aircraft, but also utilizes rotary-wing aircraft. Traning is rigourous and very dangerous.

Asgarnian Air Defense Force

The purpose of The Asgarnian Air Defense Force is defense of the Homeland. It is not a branch of the military, but a sub-division. It is also deployable to anywhere in the world. They operate a wide variety of aircraft, and are very well trained. They are basically trained exactly as The Asgarnian Air Force.

Asgarnian Marines

The Asgarnian Marines are the primary support branch. Their job is to "Be the first in, and the last out" of a combat area. They also operate air, land, and sea vehicles. The Asgarnian Marines are a very large force and are very dangerous. The requirements for acceptance are the strictest in the nation.

Asgarnian Naval Force

The Asgarnian Naval Force (Asgarnian Navy) is one of the most powerful in the world. The mission of The Asgarnian Navy is to "Protect the seas of the world from the world". The Naval Identifying Code for Asgarnian Navy Vessels is A-N-S. A-N-S stands for "Asgarnian Naval Ship". The Asgarnian Navy also operates all types of aircraft.

Asgarnian Special Forces

The Asgarnian Special Forces is the brance that deals with Unconventional Warfare. The warriors of the Special Forces are ruthless and are not bound by any rules besides the Rules of Engagment. They are equpped with special weapons, special equipment, special uniforms, and special vehicles. They are the primary clandestine forces of Asgarnieu's Military.

Asgarnian Costal Defense Forces

The role of The Asgarnian Costal Defense Force is to defend the waters of Asgarnieu. They work hand-in-hand with the Asgarnian Naval Force. They are equipped with special vessels that are specially designed for rivers and low-level waters. They can also be deployed around the world.

Asgarnian Border Defense Forces

The Asgarnian Border Defense Force is the smallest branch of the military. Their primary role is manning checkpoints on the borders of provinces and territories in Asgarnieu. They are also stationed at military installations for use at entrances. They are very well trained and are expert marksmen. They are also deployable to foriegn nations in which military installations are located.

Asgarnian National Defense Forces

The role of The Asgarnian National Defense Forces is defense of the Homeland. They operate the ground-based anti-missile laser systems, SAM's, Anti-Aircraft Artillery, and N/B/C ICBM's around the nation. They are not deployable to other nations. They are perhaps the most important branch in the military.

Asgarnian Royal Parlimentary Guard

The Asgarnian Royal Parlimentary Guard is the branch of the military that is responsible for defending embassys, government buildings, military installations, and national historical sites. They are also a quick-strike force, and are deployable to any nation, any time. They are a very versatile force.

Order of Asgarnian Citizen's Rights

WE, The citizens of Asgarnieu, a free and democratic empire, declare the following rights to be unalienable and permanent in Asgarnian society and law:

1)The right to have a Fair and Fast trial in a court of Asgarnian Common Law
2)The right to Assemble and PEACEFULLY protest all decisions made by local, provincial/territorial, and federal lawmakers
3)The right to own and carry firearms on our persons without being subject to arrest or discipline for the purpose of self-defense
4)The right to speak freely regarding political issues and ALL other issues related or not
5)The right to travel freely within the Armed Holy Democratic Empire of Asgarnieu, and abroad
6)The right to privacy in our homes
7)The right to hold government office on the local, provincial/territorial, and federal levels
8)The right to be treated as an equal in the nation by not being judged by race, creed, religion, disability, or age
9)The right to choose a religion and practice said religion with persecution from the government
10)The right to vote for local, provincial/territorial, or federal candidates at the age of 18

IF these rights are violated, the harshest possible punishment will be delivered upon said violator. This order of Asgarnian Citizen's Rights IS NOT TO BE CHANGED, but can have rights--voted on by the citizens of Asgarnieu--added on at any time.
