Capitalizt Era
The Capitalizt Era (CE) is a calendar based on the year (not the date) of Commerce Heights’s declaration of independence from the Überkapitaliztrepublik. Like other Capitalizt calendars, there are 7 months in each year, each of which have 30 days. It was first used by the Unified Capitalizt States of Commerce Heights during the Capitalizt Revolution, to contrast itself with the Überkapitaliztrepublik, which used the Terranordalis Era (TE) calendar. After the fall of the Überkapitaliztrepublik, Commerce Heights continued to use the TE calendar, and the Unified Capitalizt States officially switched to this standard when Jack Dalton was elected as the nation’s CEO in 4 CE. When Commerce Heights moved Terranordalis so it could join Atlantian Oceania on 1 January 61 CE, CEO Matthew Sparks deemed the TE system unsuitable, and officially switched back to the CE system. The calendar is widely used by the people of Commerce Heights, but in many areas, particularly the disputed section of Lontorica, the TE calendar is popular, since that area is not definitely in either Terranordalis or Atlantian Oceania.
The year 0 CE is equivalent to 18 TE or 58 CHE.
