Charles Angelus

His Grace Prince Charles Angelus of Verditania (also called Monsieur de Verditanie) is the ancestral lord of the Pantocratorian island-duchy of Verditania, located in the Gulf of Verdi in the Pantocratorian Archipelago. Although understood to be a duke, he is styled prince due to a perculiarity lost to history in the style of the lord of the island. Although he maintains a lavish home in Genesia, he spends most of the year at the Imperial Court of Christ Pantocrator, New Rome, and although the population of Verditania is almost exclusively Greek-speaking and Greek Orthodox, the Prince speaks French (he is known to speak Greek but generally refuses to do so) and is accused by some Verditanian critics of being an especially obnoxious Roman Catholic. He is married to Emilie Angela, his second wife, his first wife Marie-Isabelle dying of breast cancer in 1993. He has no children by either wife, and as such his heir at present is his younger brother Louis-André Angelus.
