Chorion is an administrative region of Commerce Heights, located in southwestern Paleoparipia. It was known as the Northwest Territories when administrative divisions were first created in Commerce Heights, and its capital city was Portland. Over the next few decades, a number of cities were built in inland Chorion, most of them near Chorion Bluffs, the city that eventually gave the state its name. More recently, the importance of Chorion Bluffs as a center of commerce has diminished, and it is now surpassed by Prontera and West Bend.
Chorion is culturally very similar to the neighboring state of New Manhattan. This similarity has caused popular support within Commerce Heights for merging the two state governments, but the national government’s shareholders have been opposed to the idea, primarily because of the costs involved in such a merger.
