Internal conflicts led to a decline of the nation's control over the area, and the current leaders father, Tucci, betrayed the city to Germanistan in hope of restoring power with the nation's help. However, although Germanistan spared the city itself, it lost most of its territories outside Liamb. Tucci Jr., the current ruler, continues the nation's alliance with Germanistan.
The End of Germanistan
After Germanistan had spent most of its resources and military capacity at defeating XenouHertz, it began to loose control over the territories it held. Prior to the arrival of XenouHertz on the planet, Germanistan was engaged in heavy fighting with troops from Texana, that saw the moment right for a full scale invasion. Though they could be repelled during Operation GREIFF and Operation NESTOR, the military was hardly in shape to carry on the occupation of the nation' oversea territories, aswell as it became useless to control the various ancient artifacts Germanistan had been looking for in these countries. Most of the forces were withdrawn to the Helgebaldian mainland to serve during the war with Texana, that had not been going well before said two operations. Subsequently, the Texans invaded northern Romera (namely Yufa and the Esmeralda Atoll), with ease, though the remaining Germanistan forces held the rest of the country. Germanistan's territory west of the Theide had been lost to Texana, and it was isolated from Nova Roma. In Nova Roma, meanwhile, HOUSE, which had recovered from the internal power struggle between Don Geoff and General Rajan, intervened against Tucci Jr.'s rule. Tucci Jr. was removed from office and the nation was put under HOUSE's control. To make things worse, at that time XenouHertz had arrived on Eden-IV. He found a host body in Vedess. Eisen was killed by XenouVedess with a mere wave of his hand during the attack on Heligardia. With the capital destroyed and Eisen dead, the remaining forces were plunged into anarchy. As there had been no reports by survivors about what had happened in Heligardia, Vedess mislead the remaining troops from Freethinkers HOUSE and was accepted as being in charge of the county. Germanistan at that time consists of not much more than the cities Vingard, Tasgarde and their immedeate vicinity, a few troops from Operation GREIFF east of the Theide, remaining Cormerran platoons, Vedess and the remaining ArmSuit pilots from Freethinkers HOUSE. Belarus did not yet gain independence, but rebels had sabotaged the EncoreWatt dam, and thus Germanistan was deprived of energy. Checkistan stopped delivering industrial goods and military materials. By then, Germanistan as it was known was essentially dead, although the actual casualties inside the country were quite low. The nation was simply falling apart. Finally, the mainland was invaded by Xeno. The remaining forces sensed betrayal, and mounted a stubborn defense of the continent against Xeno, but the area was occupied within few weeks, leading to the erradication of any human presence there. Despite the portrayal of Germanistan as the "bad guy" and a tough enemy for the most part, several people have expressed sympathy for the Germanistans, who were finally trying to protect their rest of the world (which, arguably, they had been trying all along, but in a way hard to understand, and often painful to others), but are inevitably doomed. Nova Roman citizens were evacuated by HOUSE to Texana, and the remaining Germanistani forces in Romera surrendered their territory to Texana. General Brooks (who had been evacuated from Tasgarde military base during the invasion) negotiated a peace treaty with Texana, pitting the two western landmasses (Romera and Texana) against the eastern landmass, which had completely been overrun by Xeno's machine minions. The country effectively ceased to exist, and its remainders in Romera were absorbed into the Alliance.
