The Empire of Imperious Imperials is a huge nation, currently with over 600 million people within its borders. The landscape is very diverse, from swampy areas, to forests, to savannas, and to temperate areas, but mucgh the landscape is quite barren. Imperious Imperials is surounded on 3 sides by land, but has a long coast, where the Imperial Navy patrols constantly.

Government

The government of Imperious Imperials is made up of only two branches, the executive and legislative. The executive branch is the Imperial Inner circle. The legislative branch consists of the Council of Moffs and the Imperial Senate.

The Imperial Inner Circle consists of several important people: Emperor Palpin(Head), Grand Admiral Thrawn, Grand Moff Tarkin, General Veers, and Captain Needa. These military and political leaders decide what goes on in the Empire behind the scenes. Ultimate power of the government ends with the Imperial Inner Circle, but ultimate power of the Circle ends with the Emperor, who holds all real power.

The Imperial Senate is the people's mouthpiece, and has no real power. It shows the Inner Circle the will of the people, so they know when or when not to push. Sometimes the Inner Circle will make a concession to the Imperial Senate to make the people happy. The Imperial Senate can pass bills onto the Inner Circle, but the Circle can turn them down, or ram something through the Senate.

The Council of Moffs is similar to both the Inner Circle and the Senate. The Moffs control sections of the Empire like governors, and advise the Inner Circle on affairs in their sectors, and receive advice in turn. They also work witht the Imperial Senate.

Notable Military Bases

There are several important military bases located in Imperious Imperials. These bases are not known to the general public, and house many Imperial Forces, prisoners, generals, and weapons research facilities.

Gall Military Base

Located high in a mountain range, this is a very secret base. It is located in a large canyon that is foggy most of the year. In the center there is a small airstrip and 5 helipads nearby, three of which always have Apache attack helicopters stationed there, ready to launch.

Most of the buldings at GMB were found a year after the Empire took power as derelict laboraties and warehouses. The Empire modernized it, and fortified the base. GMB is capable launching infantry units to nearby areas in case of invasion, or civil unrest.

Imperium, The Capital

Imperium is a modern city, with many sky-scrapers and beautiful buildings. There are many cantinas, nightclubs, theaters, and other sources of enterainment. With a glance, the city looks like a modern pre-revolution Havana, but when examined closer, the signs of Empire are seen. The city is about 15 square miles, one square mile of which in the center contains the Emperor's Imperium home, the chamber for the Imperial Inner Circle, the Imperial Senate building, and the Council of Moff HQ. It is also the home of a compact, but effective, Imperial base. This square mile is under extreme security, do to several assassination attempts by dissidents on various Imperial officials. It is not an uncommon site to see mechanized conscripts patrolling the surrounding area, sometimes even one of the tank divisions as support if an uprising is in progress. If there is a massive uprising against the Imperial government, it is the policy to lockdown the entire city, and not let anyone leave or come in. This has never needed to happen. There is also an extensive tunnel system under the city for the quick transport of troops or important people, and an extensive network of anti-aircraft weaponry stationed around the city. Whenever the Emperor leaves the compound, he is escorted by his personal body guard, Colonel Iziri, and is monitored by any military in the area. Civilian life has never been too affected by this.

Life in Imperium can be turbulent at times, but is usually mostly like life in other cities, albeit the frequent military parade. To keep Imperial nationalism up, the Inner Circle made it mandatory for every citizen to attend a military parade every month, and loudspeakers are installed all around the city for alerting the populace to bombings, emergencies, and mundane annoucnements.

Economy

When the Empire first came into existance, the economy was a Capitalist one. Under Imperial leadership, the economy grew extremely fast and the standard of living shot up. Neoliberalism was very popular among government leaders, but eventually the economy went into a mysterious recession, and refused to pull out of it. The GDP per capita fell by 25% and there was increasing discontent among the workers and the middle class.

To combat this, the government took a new economic direction. Neoliberalism fell out of favor, and Imperial officials began raising taxes to increase revenue while nationalizing many inefficient private industries. The Empire began a national healthcare plan, and began to take better care of its citizens. The Empire has been able to increase efficiency, and the economy has taken un upturn.
