Major Alliances and Organizations of PEEL

• The DROOP - The Administrative Office of the DROOP is the governing body of the entire region, and all nations, young and old, are a part of it's never-ending bureaucracy cycle. Technically not a nation, the DROOP is registered as a nation because of a great argument years ago. The original nations of PEEL couldn't decide a home-city for the DROOP on their own, as they were too busy squabbling. The frustrated administrators decided to found the DROOP as their own nation, which just so happened to be the first ever international argument solved by the DROOP.

• MuDeAl - Mutual Defence Alliance that at its height consisted of 9 of the oldest and most powerful nations in PEEL. Regarded as the "elite" alliance, historically pooling great Armies to act as peace keepers in collapsed countries and as a combined front against terrorism, the current members are Nixorbania, Teral, Dyslexia, Nurdbotia, Spifflandia and West-Europa. Other nations that are no longer members of MuDeAl are the collapsed nations of Nogo-Nogo and Avatarium, plus Zedoljev and New Cyberia, the former withdrawing in 2047 (STS) and the latter some time later.

• COMECON - The largest alliance of Communist and Socialist nations in the region. Founded by communist Nurdbotia and socialist Zedoljev and established on the 7th April 2045. Designed for members to come to military and economic aid of one another in the event of a catastrophe, COMECON was heavily involved in the Phillips Head Crisis, and the surrounding controversy and friction between COMECON and MuDeAl were the prime reasons for the exit of Zedoljev from both organizations. Former administrators include Zedoljev and Ivorila. The Free Trade Organization and the POECD have been regarded by the more extreme members of COMECON to be deliberate antagonism by capitalist states to counter the strength of COMECON. Currently the most active organization in the region.

• Free Trade Organization - The FTO was founded on June 5, 2051 by the leaders of MDKCorp. The FTO is an economic agreement to remove barriers, tariffs and quotas on trade with member nations, to promote the international trade industry. Mutual defence against piracy and other illegal interference is an important clause, but the FTO is not a military treaty. Boasting large membership, the FTO is a force to be reckoned with.

• The Federation of Island States Treaty - An informal alliance between several island nations located in south western PEEL.

• Greater Cyberian Union - The GCU is the governing body of the various states and territories belonging to the state of New Cyberia. The Primarium of the GCU is located in Reeding, New Cyberia, and a representative of each state of the GCU holds position there. The Primarium is the highest government body in the GCU, and each state gets an equal say in foreign affairs. The GCU is a well maintained organisation, and is notably professional on the international scene.

• POECD - The PEELian Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, also known as the POECD, is a recent treaty devised by Teral and Spifflandia. The goals are to face economic, social, environmental and governance challenges in the international community, as well as to exploit any opportunities. The member base of the POECD is rather small, as strict regulations are in place that many nations aren't eligible for.

• Unity of Tchazanovite Nations - An insular treaty of trade and defence between the long-standing Tschazanovite nations, now officially known as The Union of Soviet Tschazanovite Republics. The Union is dominated by Greater Zedoljev, and is one of the older treaties still in effect.

• Accord of Unicratic Ievurlazkant States - A multi-lateral mutual defence and trade treaty between heavily Ievurlazkant states, centralised and dominated by Ivorila. Set up in STS 2051, the treaty favours enhanced co-operation between members and the international community at large, as well as minor protectionism within the treaty from outsiders.

• The Holy Dominion - An organization of theocratic nations founded by Anubinia. Defeated by Coalition forces in the Dominion Wars and was disbanded in STS 2053.

• The Coalition - A temporary treaty founded to counter the Holy Dominion and co-ordinate military movements. Disbanded in STS 2053.

• The PAFEA - An alliance of like-minded nations dedicated to improving education standards and funding.

• The Cosmonautical Cooperation of the Continents of PEEL (CCCP) - A recently proposed and controversial military and scientific alliance proposed to research and develop ways of countering the threat of Neo-Urallian space domination. It consists of many nations involved from both sides of the Dominion Wars.
