Liverpool England winners of the first Women's World Cup will be the hosts of the Women's World Cup 3 tournement. 38 teams vied for the 3rd Cup and during qualifying a few shocks occured as favorites such as Milchama, New Montreal States, Starblaydia, and Sarzonia failed to qualify for the Cup. New teams like Los Mexico and Carvalo qualified as did long-shots such as Khenas and San Haven.

In the group stages, the newer teams crumbled and the old guard stood firm. All four of the quarterfinal matches were decided by one goal with Haraki being the upset winner over Wentland. But Haraki's miracle run ended witha 5-2 loss to the defending champs in the semis. In the other semifinal, Chicanada tried and failed for the 3rd straight time to reach the final as a rematch of the Women's World Cup 2 final (Yafor 2 vs. Jeruselem) came about. This time, Jeruselem took care of business early and won their 2nd straight title 6-2.
