The Alliance Defense Network, or ADN, is the largest defender alliance in NationStates, comprised of 29 member regions. Its motto is "With Strength and Honor". The ADN was founded by Vazquez and Mendanau.
The current ADN director is Pope Hope.
The Alliance Defense Network is devoted to the defense of its members and protects the freedom of natives of any region to live in peace and prosperity, free from invasions. The Alliance Defense Network is both revered and reviled by the defender and invader, respectively; however, wherever one's partisanship may lie, it is a force of the NS world.
The ADN's true nature, however, is highly controversial. Some say they have repeatedly intervened in affairs where they were not wanted. The ADN has also consistently refused to accept the legitimacy of the People's Republic of The Pacific as the Pacific's government. Since Pope Hope declared martial law, many have been feeling increasingly alienated by the so called 'alliance defence network'.
