World Cup 28 Winner

Marissa Cortez first played as a seventeen year-old in AOCAF13 and made such an impression in her three appearances there and the progress she made in the first Women's World Cup, that she was selected for the World Cup 28 squad. She made eight appearances, mostly as a replacement for Javi Chavez or Petyr Kaminsky, and though she didn't score any goals, was a important part of the squad in Starblaydia's second World Championship.

In World Cup 29 Marissa scored on two consecutive qualifying Matchdays against Legalese and Harlesburg before Starblaydia were knocked out in the Quarter-Finals by Krytenia, in Krytenia. In Starblaydia's exceptional run to the World Cup Final in World Cup 30, Marissa scored in the Group Stage of the Finals against [[Spaam]. Finally, at the age of thirty-three and again as a substitute player, she netted against Assegai Developments in a 6-0 win in World Cup 31 Qualifying.

Marissa was also a stalwart of the Starblaydia women's national football team, making forty-eight appearances and scoring seven times.
