  1. I fully support this as the 'nominator'. I believe this is a fascinating article that gives an easy insight into the language that is Rejistanian. I believe this would make a great featured article as it tells you what you want to know without getting boring. I believe this article shows great skill in portraying the Rejistanian language TBF 21:19, 28 Dec 2004 (GMT)
  2. After re-reading the expanded article, I have decided it is worthy of a 'for' vote. Well written. Liverpool England 07:48, 8 Jan 2005 (GMT)
  3. Definitely... Brilliant. Rezo 10:32, 28 Jan 2005 (GMT)
  4. This article definately is a good language article. If this is the first NationStates language article to be a NSwiki featured article, it would be an example for many to come. I have seen better fictional languages but only in professional books such as Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. Okay. I'm a bit bias - that I admit. Rejistania is an op on #NationStates2. Nanakaland 02:58, 8 Feb 2005 (GMT)
  5. Paradoxically I started my review with "Now that I'm finally logged in" and when I went to preview, saw that I was logged out. At any rate, now tha tI'm really finally logged in I've looked at most of the articifical langauges. Matsui has just as nice a grammar, but since Rej got me back on NSWiki. . . (Yeah, I'm a bit biased too) --Quintucket 00:21, 13 Feb 2005 (GMT)
  6. Full support, as requests from comment have been met. -- |Knoot|KNOOtalk 00:42, 13 Feb 2005 (GMT)
  7. What has to be said has already been said. It's a great, helpful article. Definitely deserving. Pacitalia 02:00, 16 Feb 2005 (GMT)
  8. This page looks well-thought out and -written, and interesting. It has my vote. Falastur 19:21, 12 Mar 2005 (GMT)
  9. A very-well written and detailed article. I agree that it should be featured. Hell Bovines 19:54, 13 Mar 2005 (GMT)

  1. I am the writer of this article and would like to see it as FAC. However I will not vote for myself :) ~ Rejistania 22:21, 28 Dec 2004 (GMT)
  2. I may change this to a vote of support at a later time. Rechze(talk) 10:23, 9 Mar 2005 (GMT)

Comments/Questions

  • Its nice but it could be expanded a bit. Perhaps some words on how it is used in Rejistania (and perhaps abroad)? What kind of groups... it is used in formal occasions, how does it relate to other languages in the country? That sort of thing. -- |Knoot|KNOOtalk 13:17, 30 Dec 2004 (GMT)
  • While I feel that the article is well-written, I believe it can be improved and would like to see it as a future FAC, but not right now. - Liverpool England|My Talk page 05:01, 30 Dec 2004 (GMT)
  • Question about the article, how in the word to Rejistanians get by on three tenses? There are ways of differentiating the limited past from the imperfect past and such, right? Zoogies| ζtalk 23:51, 8 Jan 2005 (GMT)
    • Many languages have similar tense system. See Wikipedia:Grammatical aspect for some examples of how various languages represent the aspect. -- Wilem Engelking 13:11, 10 Jan 2005 (GMT)
    • There is the possibility to express duration by 'jet (example: I was drawing when Syku came: Xe'la'niva'jet, Syku mi'la'isa'han la). the other thing is that most conlangs, intended for the use of a large group of people have a rather simple grammar. Esperanto and Bahasa Indonesia are examples for that. ~ Rejistania 00:01, 18 Jan 2005 (GMT)
  • Somebody forgot to update the vote total. I fixed that for you ;) Pacitalia 21:12, 26 Mar 2005 (GMT)
  • This article is brilliant but it's lacking something big that's bothering me. Rejis, could you put up IPA values for your letters? You describe their sounds but IPA is better than ad-hoc. Allow me to refer you to X-SAMPA for a guide of X-SAMPA codes that explain each sound's value, and has an IPA value next to the X-SAMPA code. Matsu 21:00, 7 August 2005 (GMT)

  1. The sentence structure seems to be a bit "backward", and sometimes pronouns, nouns, and verbs don't agree. I think the prose needs to be fixed up. → Ceo|squawk 04:46, November 25, 2005 (GMT)
  2. A bit short, a few too many red links, and a somewhat confusing read, but I wouldn't want to be opposed to this interesting article being featured at some stage. Gruen2alk 14:42, 7 March 2006 (GMT)
  3. Slightly underdeveloped to be considered for featuring. Jey° 13:19, 15 October 2006 (GMT)
  4. I would agree with the above. All in all this is a good article, but it still needs a bit of expanding before it should be featured, with the red links and broken image rectified. Bettia 08:58, 21 May 2007 (GMT)

  1. I believe this is well done, but will not support it, only because of the formatting of long lists in the article. Rechze(talk) 04:48, 26 Feb 2005 (GMT)

Comments/Questions

  • Rechze, I am planning to modify the listings of nouns/adjectives/verb tenses into a three-column format to make the article shorter in length but not content. Pacitalia 05:38, 26 Feb 2005 (GMT)
That is the type of thing I had imagined would improve it, once that is done, it is quite likely I will change my vote. Rechze(talk) 05:46, 26 Feb 2005 (GMT)
Okay, I changed the list formatting in everything to be an actual list. What do you think? Pacitalia 23:19, 26 Feb 2005 (GMT)

  • Approximately 17.3 billion people worldwide speak Pacitalian, making it, officially, the most widely spoken non-RL language in the NationStates world. Because of that, it is also considered one of the Big Five NS languages (English, Spanish, Noterelenda, Pacitalian and Rejistanian), those having five billion speakers or more. - You're taking the mickey, right? There are at least five billion people who speak Necrontyr (more like twelve or more) to some degree) not counting things like Sindarin, Quenya, etc, both of which have waaay over 17 billion speakers. This is simple egostroking, and factually inaccurate egostroking at that.

Also, I'm pretty certain that languages like Greek, French and so on have more than five billion speakers each in NS. - C'tan, 8:25, 20 December 2005 (GMT)

Scolopendra

Just an idea, but maybe the whole Scolopendra history could get its own entry. That way the article is less long and the 'basic' information gets more space. You should still refer to it of course :) Knoot 21:33, 3 Oct 2004 (GMT)

Second War of the Roach

Featured Article Candidate status and vote removed

Since it's been primarily opposed for at least two months, as well as the controversy surrounding this war and the article itself, and that, finally, there has been no activity on this vote, I have decided, as the article's creator and in my power as administrator, to remove the vote on this article, and therefore its candidacy for featured article status.
Pacitalia|talk2me 04:03, 13 September 2005 (GMT)

Sarzonia's ignore of the war

I don't know who it was who said Roach-Busters ignored the war. I was the one who ignored the war and subsequently ignored both Roach-Busters and The Parthians for godmoding and as a result of the animosity that developed between me and Roach-Busters. I ultimately imposed a Death Penalty Ignore on R-B so his country *never* existed in my world.

Okay, folks.

I understand that this is a little too hot to handle, still, for a lot of people, as this was a very influential topic for a long time on II. However, OOC animosity should not be directed into the formatting of the article, as it makes it look really, well, shall we say, dumb. I corrected the article's formatting, and will vouch for the IP-edit, because it is I who made the edit. Pacitalia 01:36, 5 September 2005 (GMT)
