The National Workers' Assembly is the legislative body in Hallad. It is a unicameral house, which is ussually dominated by socialist parties. The Solidarity Bloc has had a monopoly on power in it since 1968, when it was founded.

Seats in the National Workers' Assembly are proportional to the population of each Republic. It origonally had one representative per 500,000 people, however, after the inclusion of Western Sahara into the Republic this number was changed to 200,000. This gave Western Sahara one representative, otherwise they would not have had representation in the National Workers' Assembly. Egypt has 394 seats; Arabia has 135 seats; Iraq has 134 seats; Yemen has 107 seats; Oman has 16 seats; Kuwait has 12 seats; Western Sahara has 1 seat. The National Workers' Assembly has a total of 799 seats.
