The Republican Guard is the elite branch of the Halladi Red Army. It operates ten divisions, each with their own subdivisions including armour, artiller, mechanized, and surface-to-surface missile units. Along side this, they operate a number of SpecOps and commando units. Republican Guardsmen are Halladi loyalists and nationalists, who begin training at the age of twelve. They must be both willing and able for the time and effort of going to a Republican Guard military acedemy, of which there are currently six. By the time they graduate, they are eighteen years old and most go on to become career soldiers. To become an officer, Guardsmen do another two years of training, otherwise they graduate with the rank of Corporal.

The Republican Guard led the invasion of Yemen in May, 2006, which led to the liberation of South Yemen. There were atleast four division of Republican Guards engaged in Yemen, and there were less than five hundred cassualties from all of them combined. Working as a advance force, they easily routed the unorganized Yemeni military. Even at numerical dissadvantage, Halladi forces prevailed with comparitively light cassualties. Notable tactics in this campaign included an extremely mobile force of Regulars and Republican Guards, who used Air Mobile tactics.

After South Yemen had been occupied, however, the Republican Guards beame friends to their former foes. They worked hard on a hearts-and-minds operation, helping to rebuild the nation. Thanks to the engineers and soldiers of the Republican Guard.

Parthia

The Republican Guard was at the front of Halladi defense in conflicts with the Parthian Empire. The Republican Guard forces were often outnumbered, but these valiant fighters would carry on until the end. With reinforcement from the Regulars, and the Workers' and Peasants' Army, they made one of the greatest defense lines in the history of war. Their line on the Iraqi-Parthian border was one of razor wire, land mines, and an elaborate bunk, trench, and tunnel system in which even armoured units could ly in wait for the enemy.

In the engagement with Parthia, eight of the ten Republican Guard divisions were at the front lines. The other two were stationed in the recently conquered Yemen, doing humanitarian work of giving out medical supplies and rebuilding infrastructure.

Syria

The Republican Guard saw itself at the front lines again, but this time liberating the people of Syria. They moved into the nation, destroying what was left of the Parthian military -- which was unorganized due to a coup in Parthia that effectively put the Parthian Empire out of commision for several weeks. Several divisions moved accross the border, meeting up with local militia and anti-Parthian partisans. They then led a march to Damascus. The city was the last stronghold of the Parthian military forces, and the largest and most notable operation was seiging the SAVAK headquarters in Syria. There was a long, drawn out, and bloody battle there that resulted in the capture of SAVAK agents and documents.

Palestine

In what is now Palestine, Hallad had several foward firebases, set up in case of a Parthian strike. There were often skirmishes by Halladi and Parthian forces in the former disputed territories. Republican Guard units often engaged in SpecOps duties, along side the Halladi SpecOps Guerrilla force, to subvert and deter Parthian forces in the area.
