The Federal Republic of New Felix is an influential and active nation in the region of Wysteria, best known for being the first nation to set foot on the moon (in a WSA operation), involvement in the Munishan War , and leading organizations such as the Wysterian Union (WU) and the Independent Wysterian League of Equal Nations (IWLEN). New Felix has one colony, Koivuusi, located on Ayansh.

Geography
New Felix is one of the larger nations in Wysteria, both by area and population. Located on the continent of Frankonia, the contiguous population is bordered by The Grendels to the south, Raddanouge to the east, the F2 territory to the southeast, and the Sea of Storms to the west. New Felix also has two large islands, Independence Island and Clancion Island, situated to the west and north of the continental territory respectively. New Felix has two large rivers, the Eastern River and the Southern River. It contains mountains and forests to the south as well as on Clancion Island, where the largest lake in New Felix, Lake Xylia is located.
Terrain
New Felix has a varied terrain. The northern parts of the nation and Independence Island are relatively flat, whereas the southern parts and Clancion Island are mountainous. One of the largest national parks in Wysteria, the Grön Fred National Park, is located in the south.
Climate
New Felix experiences a northern temperate climate, characterized by cold, severe, winters and reasonably warm summers. A third of the nation is located above the arctic circle.
Government
The Federal Republic of New Felix is a multi-party representative democracy, with three levels of government at federal, provincial, and local levels. Officials at all three levels are either elected by voters or appointed by other officials. lmost all races, including the presidency, are decided by a plurality vote of citizens. The notable exception are presidential cabinet positions and Supreme Court Justices, both of which are appointed via senate confirmation. The federal government contains three branches:
- Legislative: Contains the 100 member Felixan Senate, which is responsible for passing laws. The senate also has the power to impeach elected and appointed officials.
- Executive: Contains the Presidency and his cabinet. Responsible for enforcing laws and setting foreign and domestic policy. Commander-in-Chief of the military.
- Judiciary: The courts. The Felixan Supreme Court contains eleven members, whereas lower courts vary in size. They have the ability to overturn laws.
The supreme legal document in New Felix is the Constitution of the Federal Republic. It guarantees the rights of Felixan citizens, including freedom of speech, press, and religion, while setting duties of the government. It has the power to be amended with a 3/4th majority in the senate and a presidential signature.
Political Parties
There are three major political parties in New Felix and several more minor ones. At local levels, political offices tend to be held by non-partisan officials, but provincial and federal offices are almost always partisan. The following a description of three major political parties in New Felix:

| New Conservative Party | Scott Roberts | The New Conservative Party (NC/Conservatives) is a center-right to right-wing political party in New Felix. The party is very conservative fiscally and strongly supports tax cuts, spending cuts, free trade, and defecit reduction programs. They are against increasing commerce, military, social welfare budgets, but are in favor of increasing education spending. Unlike the Progressive Liberal and other Wysterian Conservative Parties, the New Conservative Party is against the pre-emptive use of military force and is only in favor of using the military as a last resort. The party is strongly anti-abortion, anti-death penalty, anti-euthanasia, but is split on the issue of gay marriage. | Social Democratic Party | Ben Dyson | The Social Democratic Party (SDP, Social Democrats) is the smallest and youngest of the three major political parties. It is a left-wing socialist party that advocates government control and regulation of big businesses, stronger environmental legislation, higher military spending and a more dominant Felixan presence in Wysteria. Unlike its Liberal and Conservatice counterparts, the Social Democratic Party does not nominate candidates for President every election; since its creation in 1986, it has ran candidates in six out of ten presidential elections with each of its candidates coming in second or third place. New Felix has a vast economic, political, and military influence in Wysteria. Almost all Wysterian nations have embassies located in the capital city, with consulates spread out throughout the country. For the past five decades, New Felix has pursued an aggressive, mulit-lateral foreign policy. It is one of the founding nations of Wysteria's most influential alliance, the Wysterian Union and has held the first and third chancelleries of that organization. New Felix is also a member nation of the Independent Wysterian League of Equal Nations and the Wysterian Relief and Resettlement Project. Today, New Felix's closest allies include WU nations. Non-WU allies include Nephia, Iyari, Epona, and Equus.
New Felix has had a long and complex history with The Grendels, being their northern neighbor. An estimated 10,000,000 Felixans live and work in The Grendels, with about 7,000,000 gnolls in New Felix. Both nations are technically allies, having engaged in several peacekeeping operations together, but there are times when the relationship has been strained. The Grendels is also New Felix's largest trading partner, easily exceeding all Wysterian Union nations.
Cities
New Felix is one of the most urban nations in Wysteria; it has a total of 43 major cities with over ten million people within its limits, and millions more in the surrounding suburbs. Almost all of the cities are located in Northern Continental New Felix. Felixan Cities are designed in an ultra-modern style, with numerous glass skyscrapers, many parks, and well-funded public transportation systems.
Economy
New Felix's economic system can best be described as a capitalist mixed economy. Described as one of the top 100 fastest growing economies in the NationStates World by the United Nations, the Automobile Manufacturing Industry dominates the private sector. New Felix also boasts strong Information Technology and Trout Fishing sectors. Despite the strength of the Felixan automotive industry, a majority (67%) of Felixans are employed in services.
New Felix is highly dependent upon international trade, most notably agricultural products and oil and natural gas. New Felix's largest trading partners are The Grendels, Koivuusi, and the Wysterian Union members, as well as WU PfP Signatories.
The standard of living in New Felix ranks among the region's best, thanks to a well-funded and generous social welfare net. Accordingly, Felixan citizens and businesses often pay much higher taxes than the average Wysterian citizen. The income gap in New Felix is slightly smaller than the average Wysterian developed nation.
According to the Felixan Census Bureau, median household incomes vary throughout the nation, ranging from (A)41,000 in Western New Felix to (A)57,000 in Eastern New Felix. 44% of Felixan Households have two income earners. The Median Income for an individual aged 25 or older in the labor force was (A)39,000 in 2006. Since 1950, most real income gains have been among the upper 10% of households, although the Middle Class has also seen an improvement since the mid 1990s.
Occupation, education, and income are the main indicators of socio-economic class within New Felix. Due to a sub-average income gap, New Felix enjoys greater social mobility than its Frankonian neighbors.
Transportation
New Felix has one of the most extensive highway and rail systems in Wysteria. Mass Transit systems, including subways, taxis, and monorails, are very common in Felixan cities. The ground transportation systems are supplemented by an advanced air transportation network, consisting of over one-hundred international airports and five thousand runways. An estimated 100,000,000 people travel through Felixan airports everyday.
Water transport is largely used for freight. All major coastal cities contain large seaports. Large rivers such as the Eastern River and the Southern River serve as major shipping channels.
Communications
New Felix possesses a large, technologically advanced, multipurpose communications system. A large domestic system of fiber-optic cable, microwave radio relay, coaxial cable, and domestic satellites carries every form of telephone traffic. New Felix has one of the largest cellular telephone networks in the region with an estimated 4.9 billion mobile phone users.
There are 3,831 AM radio stations, 3,952 FM stations, 23 shortwave stations, and 41 satellite stations in New Felix. There are also 199 television broadcast systems and an additional 8,000 cable TV stations.
Demographics
As of 2007, New Felix contains an estimated eight billion people. According to the previous census, an estimated 86% of Felixans live around major urban centers. New Felix is an ethnically diverse nation, with over thirty different ethnic groups with over five million citizens. Among racial demographics, Caucasians make up approximately 85% of the population, a percentage that has been decreasing steadily since 1960. The background of the Caucasian population varies; approximately 70% have Frankonian origins, 17% come from Bucephalian, Cascadian, and Draconian backgrounds, and the rest have origins that lie on other Wysterian continents. The largest minority are Kamadhatis and Uusians. New Felix is also notable for having one of the largest gnoll populations outside The Grendels; an estimated fifteen million gnolls live in New Felix.
Crime in New Felix is very low, with New Felix often ranking among the top ten safest Wysterian nations.
Religion
In recent UN reports, New Felix is among the least religous nations in Wysteria, although a majority of the citizens consider themselves to belong to a faith. Approximately 31% of the nation considers itself to be part of the Jedi Knight Church of New Felix. 15% of the populace belongs to Nirvanaism, while 20% belongs to either Buddhism or other religions. One third of the nation lacks a religion, and consider themselves to be atheist/agnostic.
Education
Education is managed jointly by both Federal and Local Governments, with the former providing funds and the latter overseeing the day to day operations. Education is compulsory for ages 5-18.
After age 18, students have a choice of either concluding their schooling or going to a university to further their education. Ninety percent of the students choose the latter. There are over fifty distinguished universities in New Felix alone, with millions of students also attending foreign universities and community colleges.
Language
Two languages are spoken widespread in New Felix. The most common, Felic, is spoken in unformal day to day conservations. Wysterian, which is compulsory to learn in school, is spoken at official events and during government meetings. Numerous other dialects and languages are spoken in small communities and towns.
Culture
In United Nations reports, New Felix is among last in most cultured. This is probably because New Felix culture is dominated by other nations. Kamadhati films and music are very popular in New Felix, routinely breaking box office records and topping sales charts. Grendel, Amarian, Ummagumman, and Raddanouge popular culture is also very influential in New Felix.
Sports
Almost every city in New Felix sports a team to Ice Hockey, Basketball, Soccer, and American Football. The New Felix Soccer team is among the best in the region, taking the 2005 Wysterian Cherry Cup. Due to New Felix's Northern Climate, Ice Hockey consistently dominates TV sports ratings.
Baseball is also popular in New Felix, particularly in the southern parts of the nation.
