The Rocky Mountain Federation of Uncle Pete will not be represented at the first Summer Olympics. The Pete's Olympic Committee missed the signup deadline, and began negotiations with the Comité Olympique Ariddien of the PDSR Ariddia for a joint Ariddia-Uncle Pete delegation.
It was decided that a number of Uncle Peteian athletes would be integrated to Ariddia's delegation, and that it would officially be considered a "binational delegation". However, the flag, anthem and sports code of Ariddia would be retained.
Unfortunately, it was later announced that the deadline for modifying a delegation had also passed. In consequence, Uncle Pete was prevented from participating in the Games.
It is probable, however, that Uncle Pete will take part in further Olympiads.
