Skatval [skɑvʈʈɑɽ] is an old kingdom in the middle of Norway. It's a part of the glorious region of Nova Norway, and King Erik is a member of Nova Norway's Conservative Party.
Geography
The whole country is a large peninsula called Skatval. The main cities lies along the coast, and the capital is Aglo. Aglo is just a small place upon the top of a hill. The largest city is Fløan [fɽøan].
History & Politics
Skatval's first period of independence was from 1201 to 1456. The country was first ruled by The Gulaagre-Ancestry, and later by The Fljoðar-Ancestry. Skatval fell into Skatval-Brandenburg's hands in 1456, and Skatval was ruled by it's neightbour untill 1988. Skatval's second period of independence was reached after a short economical blockade and guerilla war against The Union of Skatval-Brandenburg in 1988.
From 1988 to 1993, Skatval was ruled by The National Council (TNC). In 1993, the king was born and crowned as the first king of Skatval. The country's doctors DNA tested the population twice, and found out that the little baby was the most "eugenical clean". King Erik started to rule his little nation when he reached the age of 12. Before that, the elected statesmen ruled on behalf of him, and today the elected statesmen rule together with the young king. The states power's distribution is regulated of The Act of Skatval; Skatval's constitution.
It's democratic multi-party elections every fourth year, and the current government is a liberal-royalistic-conservative coalition between The Royalistic Patriot Party and The Conservative Party.
Economy
The small economy is based at agriculture, exchange, fishing and tourism. The nearest ally in the economy is (quite ironic) Skatval-Brandenburg. The king himself own a private airline, and FloAir is the largest corporation in Skatval. The economy is described as mixed economy, and unemployment rates are low.
Religion
Skatval's official religion is protesantic christianity, but it is religious freedom. Exept this religion, Catholic Christianity is quite normal among the people.
Language
Skatval has two official languages; Trøndersk and Norwegian. In border regions, langauges like Icelandic, Faroese and Swedish are also spoken. Of this minority languages, Icelandic is largest, and Icelandic serves as teaching language at some schools in special regions. Faroese is spoken by a little minority in the capital Aglo by a small group of immigrants, and Swedish is common along the borders between Skatval and the large wilderness in the Far Mountains.
