Aeropag

Aeropag is a city in Commerce Heights, built on Aeropag Island. Though it has a comparatively small residential population, it is the second-largest commercial hub of Commerce Heights, and the largest port city. It is the site of the headquarters of countless major corporations, such as The Aeropag Tribune, and is the site of the Capitalizt Defense Alliance’s primary naval fleet. It was originally the capital of Jativa, but after the nation was evacuated to the East Pacific, it was claimed by Baetica. When Baetica moved offworld, the city became the capital of Commerce Heights’s recently formed state of Northern Jativa, now the Atlantian Jativan Islands. Aeropag is home to the largest group of Noterelenda-speaking Jativans, primarily refugees from the anarchist regime in Tingitana, but also immigrants from Bedistan after the Southeast Island was taken by Omni Bee.

Economy

The city has been the primary port in the Jativan Islands for some time, but has not achieved international recognition as a major city in Commerce Heights, being overshadowed by Sokojito Dosi (소코지토 도시) and other large cities. One exception to this is a recent report by the Pacitalian Transeconomic Studies Agency, who published a “List of Atlantian Oceania Hub Cities” including Aeropag. [1] Many attempts have been made to boost the image of the city as a major international port, with varying degrees of success. The most notable project is the ongoing construction of Yates Island, a floating platform that will host the I Olympic Winter Games, and eventually be redeveloped to nearly triple the land area of Aeropag. Other important projects include Aeropag International Airport, only the third major airport to be built in the Jativan Islands.
