The F-3 FireCat Variable Geometry Naval Fighter replaced the original F-3 HellCat II. The FireCat is more advanced than many land based fighters and is optimized for use aboard aircraft carriers and salt-water environments. The FireCat features variable geometry wings with 8 swiveling hardpoints, as well as 6 regular fuselage hardpoints. Advanced phased array radar is also included since it was necessary to accommodate the Phoenix missiles. The FireCat is a the successor to the F-14 Tomcat and the HellCat II. High speed, high maneuverability and low observability make it a capable fighter.
