As a sixteen year-old reserve in the 14th Under-21 World Cup, Lazaro Rivera was delighted to walk away with a Winners' medal. Two more Under-21 Cups, a Runners-Up and a Third-Placed medal later and he was hoping to make it to the full Starblaydi World Cup Squad.
Unfortunately, there was no way to compete with players such as Surachai Buathiang, Itechton Matranga and Menecrates, the players picked ahead of him in his two favourite positions. Lazaro took like duck to water in the AOCAF squad, however, competeing in three tournaments and winning one of them, the 10th AOCAF.
