Giovanni Lopez is one of the youngest members (only goalkeeper Ahab Maestas is younger) of the so-called Golden Generation of Starblaydi Football, having been in the Under-21 World Cup 14-winning Starblaydi team, though was only 14 at the time. Long touted as part of a new golden age of football for his home-town club, Corinthian Spirits, Giovanni's abilities were one of the crucial factors in lifting them to 7th in Liga Starblaydia for Season 4.
</div>Such were his performances thoughout the Liga season, Giovanni was named Young Player of the Year, joining a list of such luminaries as Zhorin Tumunzahar, Itechton Matranga and Innit Point. He was well on his was to equalling, if not perhaps breaking, Tumunzahar's record of a goal-per-game for the Under-21s, but Starblaydia were dumped out of Under-21 World Cup 17 by silent-and-unknown Vtorbetin in the Second Round, denying Giovanni any more attempts to make the record his own.
Giovanni also holds three landmark records in the Starblaydi goalscoring chants. First of all, he was famous for scoring the 200th Starblaydia Under-21s goal, in the Second Round of Under-21 World Cup 16 against An archy, scoring Starblaydia's winning goal in a 3-2 win. Then, in World Cup 25, he scored the second goal in a 3-1 victory over Vilita, marking Starblaydia's 500th senior international goal. Finally, his goal in the Final of World Cup 25, with just 6 minutes to go in Extra Time, was the goal that made it 2-1 and won Starblaydia the World Cup itself.
