Malibu Islands was a formerly thriving player-created region, at one point boasting over 50 nations. It rapidly went into decline near the end of 2005, however, and was eventually invaded by a small group of raiders with seemingly nothing better to do. Most of the active natives repopulated in the region of Southern Malibu Islands, though some still roleplay their nations as MI residents.

The following is a collection of general information about the region as it stood in Oct. 2005.

Government

Cabinet

The Cabinet is composed of 8-10 senior officials. It meets to discuss departmental plans and responsibilities.

The Senate is the main legislative body of Malibu Islands. It is chaired by the Speaker of Nations, and operates under a voting system known as 'the Hiko system', in reference to Samurai Hiko, a former Speaker. Senate membership is open to all members of Malibu Islands.

The Senate is currently in recess until new Senators are appointed. Current members are:
