Overview of the Dominion Wars

The Dominion Wars were a series of battles for the control of New America between an alliance of totalitarian theocratic nations called The Holy Dominion and a loose Coalition of secular states, and involved many semi-neutral nations on both sides. The Holy Dominion was led by Supreme Pharaoh Set of Anubinia, and the Coalition was the brainchild of MDKCorp shareholders. Victory is credited to The Coalition, although it is worth noting that the only Dominion combatant to receive significant punishment was the Obsidian Order.

Many believe the war was proof to the waning power of MuDeAl, the traditional peace-keeping and security organization. Little objection to conflict by the MuDeAl or involvement of many MuDeAl memberstates in ending the war. MuDeAl member Nurdbotia engaged in open warfare as a member of COMECON, while Zedoljev and Spifflandia supplied aid and relief, but a distinct absence of any other MuDeAl memberstates have led to a regionwide discussion about the fate of MuDeAl.

Prelude to War

  • In late 2051, Pharaoh Osiris the Great of the Anubinian Empire is killed in a car accident, which is the first in many incidents in a coup which will bring his sadistic and evil brother, Set to the throne. During the first few months of his reign, he drastically increases the size of Anubinia's military, and begins testing nuclear weapons, all under heavy protest from Anubinia's neighbors and the DROOP. Set and Emperor Palpatine of Imperial StarWarsia reached a deal which resulted in the creation of a new alliance: The Holy Dominion. Officially, it was created as to stop the imperialistic actions of New European and Asian nations, but it was soon revealed that they had ambitions of conquest of their own...
  • In early 2052, the Republic of Yugopatomia acquires a large territory of land in the newly settled Farnsworth Glacier. Within months, the first shiploads of settlers arrive on the shores of the colony and establish a small city, Whoopopolis, which will serve as the capital of the colony. But soon after their arrival, the colonists come into contact with a native sentient species known as The Yeti, a large humanoid race, with an average height of 8ft and are covered in thick grey hair. They are extremely intellegent, and after a number of small skirmishes, the two peoples sign a non-agression treaty. But the day after the signing, a new boatload of settlers arrive in Whoopopolis to find the entire population of 8000 dead and their heads stuck on pikes along the shore. In response to this horrific act, Premier Marshal Whoopwhoopwhoop of Yugopatomia declares war on the Yeti Nation. Within days, 10000 Yugopatomia troops land in the Glacial colony and this is what many people consider the start of the Dominion Wars. Soon after, The Yeti allied themselves with the Dominion, who provided them with weapons and vehicles which easily broke the first wave of Yugopatomian troops.
  • Also early in the year, there was a great deal of political unrest in the Democratic Republic of Weinersteinston. After a mysterious kidnapping of President Silver, there was a series of murders of top Weinersteinstonian politicians of the Far Norh Communist Party. Soon after, upon executive decision, Silver disbanded the Parliament and declared himself Emperor for Life. Prime Minister Kurdt Kobain fled the nation with the surviving members of the FN Com. Party to the allied nation of Pastocia, where the seeked asylum. After growing suspicion, it was soon confirmed, when Imperial Weinersteinston joined the Holy Dominion and a joint Anubinian/Weinersteinstonian Army occupied the nation. In response, the Plutocracy of MDKCorp mobilized their armies on the western MDKC/Wein border in preparation for a Dominion invasion.
  • At the same time as the war with the Yeti began, Yugopatomia suffered a crippling power outage nationwide, which killed over 2000 people. It was later revealed that this was due to an attack from Anubinia and the Holy Dominion with their newly-constructed Superweapon, a space satellite EMP Weapon, partially based on a Bloodian weapon of similar design. After the weapon was revealed to the nations of PEEL many months later, Yugopatomia and her allies in COMECON declared war on the Dominion.


Theatres

With the Dominion Wars taking place all over the PEEL Region, for the sake of organization, this guide will be divided into the different locales (Theaters) of the war to describe them in detail.

===The War in Anubinia=== - The Battle between the Royal Anubinian Armies under General Anubis against Coalition and allied armies in the defense of Anubinia.

===The War in the Yugopatomia/Yeti Nation=== - The war that kicked it all off, between the native Yeti and the Yugopatomian Colonists. Also covers the Dominion occupation of Yugopatomia and the allied invasion.

===The War in Uudestaan=== - The story of the battles fought between the armies of Uudestaan desperately fending off the invading Cardassian Armies.

===The War in Pastocia/The Sunset Forces/Terre Argente=== - Tells the inter-locking stories of war in Pastocia, Nova Pastocia, Sunset, and Terre Argente.

===The War in Weinersteinston/StarWarsia=== - Chronicles the Dominion Occupation of both Weinersteinston and New Star Warsia and the joint effort to oust the Dominion-controlled leaders.

===The War in Incarnatia=== The battle between the Incarnatian armies against the mindless relgious crusaders from St Milos and Hudsen.

Aftermath

In mid 2053, all the nations and allies of the Holy Dominion had surrendered and gave into the demands of the Coalition and the DROOP.

Anubinia and StarWarsia abandoned production and operation of their space fleets and handed all technologies, including the orbital EMP Weapon complex over to the DROOP. The Yeti Nation withdrew it's troops from the Yugopatomian Glacial Colony, and after consideration from the DROOP High Council, they were granted a seperate and sovereign nation just to the north of the Colony. Civil war engulfed the nation of Incarnatia, and after many months, Incarnatia and it's allies of Old Places and UberRevenge collapsed and were annexed by their neighbors. The nation of Terre Argente underwent a transformation into a republican democracy, doing away with absolute power from the reigning monarchy. Prime Minister Thoth was appointed Pharaoh of the new Anubinian republic and since his coronation, he has been the first leader of the nation to grant the citizens civil rights and established the Hall of Representatives, a new body of elected officials to help in governing the country. The leaders of the surrendered nations: Emperor Palpatine, Premier Leonard Davis, King L'Argent, and top members of the Setan regime in Anubinia were handed over to and were put on trial for their crimes by the DROOP.

However, the leader of the Dominion, Anubinia's Supreme Pharaoh Set was never found, as were a large number of weapons, troops, military vehicles, and almost one fifth of Anubinia's treasury. Many suspect that he fled the country during the seige of Luxor and has since founded another nation in one of the two great continents of F'Rama III, and is biding his time for vengence against the nations of PEEL...

Soon after the ceasefire was signed however, the nations of Pastocia and The Obsidian Order almost came to blows after the Cardassians refused to pay reparations for their invasions of Pastocia and Uudestaan, but the threat of war died down after Pastocian Second Consul Pastus Wilhelm was removed from power and was replaced by Matthew Gregory. War almost came again months later when the last shipment of Anubinia's nuclear stockpile was intercepted and stolen by the Urallian Empire, but unwilling to dedicate themselves to another bloody war, the nations of PEEL refused to moblize their armies. The EMP Weapon was also destroyed by the new Urallian space fleet, which has since continued it's dominance over space. The Urallian Space threat has become the subject of many debates in the PEEL Political Arena, as many nations have called for an international alliance to combat this. Out of the ashes of The Coalition, The Cosmonautical Cooperation of the Continents of PEEL or "CCCP" and has begun the development of new weapons and technologies to fight the Urallians, all under heavy protest from supporters of the DROOP Space Law Treaty...
