Blades of Conquest

Introduction

The Blades of Conquest is a powerful invader organization. It has been around for over six months and gained a reputation and is far more superior in comparison to The DEN and Invaders who one of which is now no more and the other just is a waste of space. Started by former Reign of Terror members, BoC was gradually built up to what it is today by hard work, massive recruiting drives and dozens of invasions. However, BoC has just begun its rampage throughout NS, becoming common enemies with groups such as Pacific Defenders and Airborne Defense Empire. BoC's recent notoriety is thanks in part to a small handful of massive raids recently that attracted much defender attention, including Minnesota and Vlaanderen. Hopefully, BoC will remain a powerful and respected force in the game for long to come.

History

Blades' Beginning

It was late November 2005 and raiders were falling into decline at the hands of the RLA, Pacific Defenders and other defender groups. As hardcore raider groups such as DEN and Invaders held on, groups such as The Jolly Roger, The Cathedral, Lucky Strike and The Firm were disbanding. Glatannia, who was Reign of Terror's military director until its collapse in September 2005, was enjoying his retirement in the region of Gondor, where he was shielded from the raider world's breaking apart, when a DEN officer, Of Crazed, approached Glatannia and described the dire situation and asking Glatannia to join the region. Finding the situation intriguing, Glatannia decided to make a return to the world of raiding. After a brief stay with his good friend Belchingburg in a region called Empire of Raiders, a region where hope of success was eclipsed by a stupid and arrogant leader, Glatannia decided to form a new raider region. Coming up with the name Blades of Conquest, the region was founded December 4th, and a forum was created the next day. The original members included Glatannia, who claimed the Head of Military, Conquer and Destroy, Glatannia's old friend from Bombardment Isles who took up the Head of Recruiting, Belchingburg, and Free Noldor States, both former Reign of Terror members. More former members of RoT, The Padres and Anrew joined days later.

Wars

As a colonial power, BoC tends to cross a lot of borders, and is not surprisingly met with unfriendliness. Although BoC engages in many battles, only occasionally do they escalate into a formal declaration of war.

The Corporate Conservative War (The CC War)
August 28th 2006 - August 30th 2006

During the month following the Minnesota invasion, relations with Corporate Conservative had been fluctuating back and forth. CC helped BoC during the Vlaanderen raid in early August after fighting BoC in Minnesota, only to leave and renounce BoC a couple days later. Tensions began to boil once more as CC and TGBE (The Great British Empire), a close BoC ally, began to argue.

On August 28th, CC stormed Allah Empire, which had been a BoC/TGBE colony. CC claimed it to be retribution for TGBE, but they had attacked a BoC colony, which drew Head of State Burrell Villages (Then Belchingburg) and Head of Military Glatannia to issue a declaration of war. Verak from CC fueled the bloodlust by flamebaiting on TGBE and BoC RMBs. After prompting allies The Great British Empire and The Phantom Regiment to join the war on BoC's side, Glatannia began drawing up plans for Operation Grim Reaper, an extensive project that had a four step plan to attack CC's outpost of 0000000 Republican Union, recapture Allah Empire, and launch attacks on CC's allies if necessary.

However, before any action could take place, a meeting was held between Glatannia of BoC, Bryan Dixon of TPR and Rephias of CC. A ceasefire was reluctantly accepted by Glatannia, which required the sides to contribute forces to each others' campaigns if there were troops available. It also called for the turnover of Allah Empire to BoC and TGBE and the prohibition of Verak's presence in BoC or TGBE. Since, BoC and CC have remained friendly.

The CTU War
September 21st - Late October

Following the CC War, peace returned to Allah Empire, and power was handed over to TGBE. However, a defender force calling themselves CTU (Counter Terrorism Unit) invaded the region. Head of State Burrell Villages declared war on CTU, which was approved by BoC's leaders and citizens. However, much unlike CC, CTU welcomed the declaration and in turn declared war, sparking RMB arguments reminiscent of those during the CC War. Soon afterward, Airborne Defense Empire and the Aeazen Combine pledged support for CTU's war.

On September 25th, the first blow of the war was struck. BoC troops led by Desert Ratz and supported by Visionary Vanguard, overran the AC outpost of Red Mountain. General Pythogalia followed by refounding the Sharamadaan, AC's so called "holy place". AC reacted by claiming Red Mountain was no longer part of their empire however BoC had still successfully taken an AC region.

In October 2nd, BoC officially declared victory over CTU and concentrated her efforts on a new target at Federal Defense Forces. As troops were preparing to leave Allah Empire and let the remaining natives regain control of their region, CTU suddenly launched a strike on the 5th. This action was condemned by defenders and invaders alike, as it further subjected the natives to a third round of unnessasary invasion.

CTU's victory however, proved to be short lived as BoC were quick to re-organize to regain control within 3 days (with some help from her allies as BoC troops were simultaneously in The Federal District). This time, the leadership is taking no chances. Troops are positioned to hold down Allah Empire until it can be refounded to ensure it will never fall into CTU hands . As of this writing, the refounding is still in progress.

Once again, CTU has proven itself to be a selfish, corrupt organization. It calls itself a defender but it actively participates in raids. The two-time invasion of Allah Empire is an example, as are their invasions of Alliance of Anime Nations and The Legendary Rodent Alliance in Sept-Oct 06. All it does is to use the excuse of defending to invade innocent regions. While BoC also raids, we atleast do it openly and does not destroy regions.

In the war between CTU and BoC, CTU has been trounced three times in convincing fashion. This has lead its leader Jray to declare on 22 October that "It's over, I am sick of this war with BoC".
