David Bentley is Nova Britannican by birth but gained access to a Starblaydi Passport as a naturalised citizen of Starblaydia. He was made eligable to play for Starblaydia for their debut World Cup Qualifiers in World Cup 15, where he bagged all four of his International Goals in fourteen appearances, scoring against Grays Harbor, Lemmitania, Vilita and Bakinhale. He also made two appearances in World Cup 15's Cup of Harmony, as well as earning a single cap in the International Recreational Cup.

At Club (for Penningworth United) and International level he was the strike partner of Nikola Lazerevski. In conjunction with "Laser", he made the Pennies' front two a force to be reckoned with in the Starblaydi Football League.

After retiring from international football, David went back home to Nova Britannicus, where he eventually became Jean-Paul Georges-Ringeaux's assistant coach on the Nova Britannican National Team. He regularly coached the Navy-Bluebirds in the Atlantian Oceania Cup of Association Football, as well as signing a contract to manage the Starblaydi-owned Honsfield Athletic of Nedalia.
