Vrelck Class Battlecruiser

The Vrelck Class Battlecruiser is one of the most powerful ships produced by Phoenix Dynamix. Named for Admiral of the Navy, FA David Vrelck, the Vrelck class is a cheap alternative to battleships and is capable of dealing with almost any sea or airborne threat. The Vrelck Class Battle Cruiser (Guided Missile, Nuclear Powered{BCGN}) was designed to fill a gap between cruisers and modern battleships that was notice in The Phoenix Milita's navy. The Vrelck was initially proposed as a modern cruiser with the guns of a WW2-era battle ship. As the designs matured, the Vrelck became more heavily armored when compared to other cruisers, but the prototypes were still able to make 35+ knots due to its nuclear power plant and 4 variable pitch propellers. The use of variable pitch propellers, rather than submersible turbine propulsion(which is more expensive) was a first for nuclear powered vessels made by Phoenix Dynamix. This along with other factors have kept the cost under a billion dollars for each complete ship.
