Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 2.912 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night. It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 31%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Gambling, and Arms Manufacturing industries. Nojika's national animal is the Panther, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Credit. GovernmentGovernment TypeImperial Autocratic Dictatorship National GovernmentThe Empire of Nojika is ruled by its Emperor, who is currently Emperor Brakiss -- who is also the founder of the Empire. The Emperor has absolute authority over the people and the land of Nojika. And with the aid of selected individuals, he is able to maintain order in Nojika with relative ease. Emperor Brakiss chose to appoint a number of individuals to government offices, including the twelve Moffs and one Grand Moff whom serve as governors and diplomats to other nations within the region, and the members of the Inner Circle, which consists of the Emperor's most trusted and powerfull persons in Nojika. Foreign GovernmentCurrently, most foreign affairs are handled by a group of thirteen appointed individuals who serve as diplomats to the nations within their assigned district. These governors are also given full command of Nojikan military activities within their district. Of the thirteen, only one of the Moffs is given the title Grand Moff -- the Grand Moff oversees the activities of each Moff and is responsible for collecting reports from each Moff within the region and then reporting directly to the Emperor. PoliticsSince the fall of the Old Republic of Nojika, and the Emperor's rise to power, the Emperor's decision has become supreme and final in all situations. The day to day government is run by the Grand Vizier who makes many decisions for the Emperor and accepts full responsibility for all his or her decisions. Often, the Empire is considered to be very decentralized. International OrganizationsStrategic Alliance of Autocratic States MilitaryNojika and its citizens take great pride in its military. Though not required, many young men will choose to attend one of the many military acadmeys throughout the country when they turn 18, simply out of tradition. Lord Kahal has complete control of the Nojikan Navy as well as the Army, but allows General Kwinn to manage most of the Army's day to day operations. Nojika currently maintains a modern/post-modern tech. military and spend a quarter of its GDP on both Defence and Law and Order. The Nojikan Navy, led by its Supreme Commander, Lord Kahal, is where most of Nojika's pride in its armed forces lies. This is partly because the navy serves as the nation's airforce too, making it that much more powerfull. Nearly 75% of all military aircraft in Nojika are owned and operated by the navy. Most recruits that choose to join the navy, must go through an extra 2 years (a typical army recruit will train for 2 years) of training at one of the few special naval academys. ArmyThe standing army in Nojika boasts a huge number of grunt soldiers and all terrain attack vehicles. Led by the infamous General Kwinn, the Imperial army's infantry and vehicle pilots all wear a shiny white suit of full body armour that reveals nothing about a soldier but their height. In Nojika, young men are glorified for going off to one of the many Imperial academy's, and about 45% of those that make it through the academy will become soldiers in the Nojikan army. Those recruits that do choose to join the army will be enlisted as a grunt and will remain so for the remainder of their 10 year contract untill or unless they are promoted or discharged. IntelligenceInformation not available. Royal GaurdThe Emperor's Royal Guard are commonly mistaken for typical secret service guards. However, they are much more than that, they are the best and most loyal men, typically soldiers, in Nojika. Many would call the Royal Guard a group of loyal extremeists, and that they are. They serve to protect the Emperor, his title and the Empire only. The Royal Guard wear a beautiful red robe and shiny featureless red mask. SportsFootballThe most popular sport in Nojika, is football, also know as soccer. The game is played both domestically and regionally and has been a huge success in recent years (at least for the Nojikan fans). The Nojikan Premiere LeagueBefore the establishment of the Nojikan Premiere Leauge, there was no formal football league in Nojika; but players and fans of the game were still very much into any matches a local team played. Founded shortly before the first AOCAF championship, the Nojikan Premiere League became the host to the top 20 teams in Nojika while the lesser teams face off in the 1st Division in hopes of being promoted to the Premiere League .
The National Football TeamThe Nojikan football squad has yet to raise the AOCAF trophy, but are getting closer and closer to the top as each season goes by.
