The Royal Isselmere-Nieland Navy (RINN) is the senior service within the United Kingdom of Isselmere-Nieland Defence Forces (UKINDF). With almost 14 million personnel and a budget of almost $7 trillion universal standard dollars (USD), the Royal Navy is the best funded and largest component of the UKINDF. As protector of the state's shores, the RINN forms Isselmere-Nieland's defensive vanguard.

Command
Overall command of the Defence Forces emanates from the Sovereign, who as head of state is their commander-in-chief, by and with the advice of the Defence Council of the Council of State. Day-to-day administration of the Defence Forces falls to the Minister of Defence and the respective ministers of state of the four services.
In charge of the Royal Navy is the Admiralty, also known as the Department of the Navy. The Minister of State for the Navy is styled the First Lord (or Lady) of the Admiralty, who acts upon the advice of the five senior-most serving officers of the service, the Sea Lords. The First Sea Lord as Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) is the serving commander-in-chief of the service and is typically the senior-most officer within the Royal Navy. Beneath the First Sea Lord are the Second Sea Lord, who is the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO); the Third Sea Lord, who is the Chief of Naval Resources (CNR); the Fourth Sea Lord, who is the Chief of Naval Expeditionary Forces (CNEF); and, the Fifth Sea Lord, who is the Chief of Naval Air Services (CNAS). Together with the Secretary of State for the Navy, the Sea Lords form the Board of Admiralty.
The Board of Admiralty was first established in 1848 following the example of the British Royal Navy. Until the drastic expansion of the RINN in 1998, there were but three Sea Lords.
Structure
The RINN is Isselmere-Nieland's defensive vanguard. The RINN presently consists of two navies — the Home Navy (the Navy of the White) and the Expeditionary Navy (the Navy of the Blue) — further divided into fleet groups of two or more fleets. The fleets themselves are subdivided into command units and two operational squadrons.
Beyond those basic structures come the various branches within the service.
- Surface Fleet
- Fleet Air Arm
- Submarine Service
- Royal Isselmere-Nieland Marines
- Royal Isselmere-Nieland Fleet Auxiliary
The branches are subdivided into several forces:
- Home Navy, which protects the state and its merchant shipping lanes
- Coastal Defence Force, which guards its shores and bases
- Littoral Defence Force for coastal operations abroad
- Rapid Reaction Force for expeditionary operations abroad
- Strategic Defence Force (Navy), which is the UKIN's naval nuclear deterrent.
Coastal Defence Force
Personnel: 2,096,391
Aircraft (all types): 21,132
Uncrewed vehicles (all types): 8100
The Coastal Defence Force (CDF) encompasses fixed and mobile coastal defence batteries, land-based maritime patrol (MARPAT) squadrons, and coastal defence and mine countermeasures (MCM) groups. The CDF enforces the UKIN's local maritime claims, such as the United Kingdom's exclusive economic zone (EEZ), as well as policing against offences within Home waters.
Aircraft of the CDF
- DAS-7K Atlantis multirole tanker transport (MRTT)
- DAS-7M Njord maritime patrol aircraft (MPA)
- DAS-15 Tiger interceptor
Fleet Air Arm
The Fleet Air Arm (FAA) consists of most air units within the RINN, excluding those attached to the CDF or the Royal Isselmere-Nieland Marines (RINM).
Aircraft of the FAA
- DAS-2 Spectre multirole fighters (single-seat DAS-2M and two-seat DAS-2N)
- DAS-2NE2 Spectre electronic combat reconnaissance aircraft
- DAS-3 Sea Fury short take-off and vertical landing fighter and trainer
- DAS-4M Swordfish strike aircraft
- DAS-6M Scimitar fleet interceptor
- DAS-7S Bark submarine support aircraft
- DAS-8C Gannet carrier onboard delivery aircraft
- DAS-8W Heimdall airborne early warning aircraft
- DAS-10 Cormorant multirole helicopters
- DAS-13 Condor heavy lift helicopter
Royal Isselmere-Nieland Marines
The RINM is the RINN's army. The RINM possesses its own air arm, the Marine Air Service, as well.
Strategic Defence Force
Personnel: 429,638
Ships (all types): 1483
Aircraft (all types): 110
Uncrewed vehicles (all types): 7700
The (Navy) Strategic Defence Force (SDF) is one of the components of the Isselmere-Nieland's nuclear deterrence capability. Based around ballistic missile submarines, this force is the most silent of the Silent Service.
Submarine Force
The Submarine Force is the umbrella organisation for submarines not attached to the CDF or SDF. Composed in the main of nuclear attack submarines, the Submarine Force is often detached to serve with surface task groups, but independent submarine divisions perform extensive patrols of the UKIN's EEZ.
Surface Fleet
The Surface Fleet comprises all surface warships not attached to the CDF.
Royal Isselmere-Nieland Fleet Auxiliary
In addition to the Surface Force is another vital contingent, the Royal Isselmere-Nieland Fleet Auxiliary (RINFA), consisting of the wide assortment of logistics vessels and supporting craft. Although officially labelled as "Auxiliary", the RINN views the RINFA as one of the cornerstones of the UKIN's defence.
