Phoenix Class Aircraft Carrier
The Phoenix Class Aircraft Carrier is the primary aircraft carrier class utilized by the navy of The Phoenix Milita and a number of other nations The original Phoenix Class was the first project created after the absorption of Antarcticorp and has many design features indicative of bot Antarticorp and Phoenix Dynamix Style. The original design was replaced by an upgraded model designed solely by Phoenix Dynamix. The upgraded Phoenix Class Aircraft Carrier is expected to serve for the next 50 years.
Variants
Original CVN-1 Series
The Original CVN-1 Series served until early 2007 and remains the top selling exported Aircraft carrier from Phoenix Dynamix.
Aircraft Capacity
The original design could hold up to 90 fixed wing aircraft and 4 helicopters. This capacity was sufficient at the time, and indeed larger than many other aircraft carriers, but as time passed it would become unsatisfactory for The Phoenix Milita's operational requirements.
Catapults
Four state of the art Maglev catapults were designed specifically for the Phoenix Class. They are many times more efficient than traditional steam catapults and also more reliable. The same catapult design remains in use on all variants
Elevators
Three gigantic elevators, working on an electromagnetic principle similar to the maglev catapults , were also specially designed for the class. They can rapidly move aircraft on to and off of the main flight deck and into the maintenance and storage bays.
