The term "LEN" is also used in Liverpool England's official internet TLD, .len, which is further subdivided by either region, or organisation, as follows:

  • Other second-level domains
    • .com.len, .co.len - Commercial
    • .gov.len - governmental (federal level)
    • .org.len - NGO
    • .edu.len - educational institution
  • Special third-level domains
    • .reg.--.len - governmental (local governments for the four regions, with the regional subdomain filled into the -- area)
    • .ter.---.len - governmental (local governments for the two territories, with the regional subdomain filled into the --- area)
    • Other local governments use their regional second-level domain (for example, the Gulp Mountain Peninsula government would use just ".mtn.len" rather than ".reg.se.len" for the Southeast Region's government.)

When at regional level, it is not uncommon to see a combined second-level domain; for example, .gov.gvt.len would mean a federal government site based in the Government Territory, while .ter.gvt.len would mean a site published by the local government of the Territory.
