Leopoldo Lopez made his name as a solid and attacking left-footed full-back, though also had enough of the presence and power required to play as a centre-back too. Part of the ever-elite Youth Academy of Iskara Daii, his hometown club, Leopoldo (unrelated to Giovanni Lopez) quickly graduated to the Daii's senior side. Even better than the Daii's previous major left-back, Rastian Salaam, Lopez soon found himself as part of a back-three in a 3-5-2 formation, taking account of the Vilitan Trio at the Daii at the time.

He proved himself time and again for both club and coutry, being an integral part of both Under-21 and World Cup winning sides. At club level his goals were invaluable as the Daii took the 7th Champions League title, beating two-time and defending champions Yeaddin Owls of Vilita.
