Notes
World Cup 28 Winner (as captain)

Like many Starbladydi footballers who play abroad, Georges Blanc was often overlooked for key positions in Starblaydi national squads. This changed, however, during his time under Khim Azanulbizarn in the Starblaydia Under-21s. Blanc proved himself a worthy midfielder to the Dwarf, both in offensive and defensive roles. He was named captain for the 21st Under-21 World Cup.

So, when Azanulbizarn was made Manager of the Starblaydia national football team, Blanc soon hit the headlines in the number 4 shirt so beloved of Starblaydi defensive midfielders throughout history. He effectively became the demolition man any opposing midfield on the international stage, using an immense on-field presence to win the ball and break up attacks like his life depended on it. On the ball, too, he was excellent, often required two or even three players challenging him before he lost the ball.

He captained Starblaydia in Tyrellia at the Ylompic Games to a silver medal finish, depsite losing two games to Bedistan along the way. In Bedistan, however, under the captaincy of Menecrates, George was an ever-present part of the side that took third place at World Cup 27, beating Squornshelous 3-0 in the Third-Place Play-off.

He was named as Starblaydia's captain for World Cup 28, at the age of thirty-two. There his 'wrecking ball' style of play took Starblaydia all the way to the final against Bedistan, who had won both the previous two cups. Blanc took the first of the sudden-death penalties in the penalty shoot-out, which Starblaydia went on to win 7-6 after a 0-0 draw after Extra Time. Blanc lifted the World Cup trophy on behalf of Starblaydia, bringing it back to his homeland for the second time and putting Starblaydia among the list of all-time greats.
