The football team of the tiny village-nation of San Adriano competed for the first (and so far only) time on the international stage in World Cup 27. The players were, for the most part, non-professionals.
After over four decades of absence, San Adriano announced it would prepare a team for World Cup 38.

Participation in World Cup 38
The Sanadrianese Olympic Committee brought together sixteen players, most of them non-professionals, to form a national team. The few professionals play for SA Village United or for small town and village clubs in Uhuh-Topia. The team also includes Arianna Ceccoli, who took part in World Cup 37 as a referee, and Femke van der Vaart, a Sanadrianese marathonian. The coach, Speranza Marani, was formerly a non-professional football player who took part in the national team in its World Cup 27 appearance.
Upon signing up for the 38th World Cup, San Adriano expressed some concern regarding its ability to fund its players' trips abroad for away matches. In response, Starblaydi company ediraf offered to provide transport for the team and all Sanadrianese supporters, as well as provide the team's kits.
All home matches will be played at the Sanadrianese National Stadium, located in Uhuh-Topia.
