History
The United States of Allanea was founded in May 2003 (real life time) by political refugees from the United States and the Russian Federation, who wanted to create a nation on the principles of individual liberty. The man behind the concept was Alexander Kirillovich Kazansky, who became the first and only President of Allanea. After several re-elections, a grassroots movement sponsored a constitutional Amendment to make Kazansky President for Life. Unfortunately, he was removed from power after the One Day War. Also fairly early in the history of Allanea (June or July 03?), Allanea was invaded by the combined forces of two significantly larger and older nations, Pure Evil and Tahar Joblis, over matters relating to nuclear devices and Isla de Penguinata; this would be referred to as the Allanean War and took place entirely in and around Allanea proper.
Later on, Allanea engaged in many foreign intervention efforts with the stated goal of protecting civil rights. These actions resulted in varying degrees of success. One of Allanea's most notable actions was the unsuccessful intervention by members of the New Conservative Alliance in Gore-2004. Edolia supported Gore-2004, sparking the Third Edolian War.
Allanea has successfully combatted communist adversaries in Aissur and Daikatana, that now form part of Allanea. Furthermore, Allanea was part of the Yurkan Slave War, a controversial conflict that saw Allanea cooperating with its old enemy Edolia, and ending in the almost complete destruction of Yurka and Zenti after a nuclear weapon detonated in Zenti City. By the end of the war, Allanea came out clearly the victor (Edolia and most of the other participating nations had withdrawn at the start of the nuclear exchange) with some 1,600,000 Yurkans killed for every Allanean casualty.
Allanea is organised according to a federal system. The different states are:
Operation Free Axackal
In early 2004 (real life time) Allanea embarked on Operation Free Axackal, invading Edolian Axackal and sparking the Fourth Edolian War, which involved some 20 different nations] and ended inclusively. Allanea was unable to retake Axackal, but found itself in control of -The Prophet-, wresting it from Edolia's ally, Goobergunchia. At the end of the war, realizing that it was woefully short of allies, Allanea founded the Ali’Staan Accord.
Mars
Allanea was occupied by the Federation of Sentient Peoples following its bombardment by Martian nations known to Allaneans as the One Day War. The cause of this action is disputed: many describe it as caused by Allanean inability to compromise with the nations of Mars in a war, while Allanea holds that it was an concerted act of aggression. Allanea claims Mars ignored its attempts to negotiate.
On September 03, 2004(RL date), FSP forces withdrew and handed the nation over to Reichskamphen following successful negotiations to return control to Greater Prussia. This happened 16 months (Allanean Time) after the One-Day War. Much of the period from conquest to return was marked by a guerilla war that claimed millions of lives.
