Thai is a Southeast Asian language and the language most associated with nations of Thai cultural or ethnic origins. It is a member of the Tai group of the Tai-Kadai language family. It is a tonal and analytic language and the combination of tonality, complex orthography, relational markers and phonology make Thai a difficult language for non-native speakers to master.
