The DAS-10 Cormorant helicopter series was designed by Detmerian Aerospace to replace AgustaWestland EH101 helicopters serving in the Isselmere-Nielander Army and Royal Isselmere-Nieland Navy as medium-lift and anti-submarine helicopters as well as for heliborne early warning. Anti-submarine versions of the Cormorant were to have a payload of at least 1500 kg — in order to carry at least four weapons of 350 kg on its fuselage-mounted weapon stubs — and have superior sensor systems enabling it to counter enemy submarines and other threats.

DAS-10M maritime patrol helicopter

The Royal Isselmere-Nieland Navy wanted the DAS-10M maritime patrol variant to be able to carry four air-dropped GWS.63 Barracuda torpedoes with four full fuel tanks with 4100 litres of JP-8. In practice, most RINN anti-submarine patrols operate with three tanks containing a total of 3230 litres as well as the four lightweight torpedoes, although in wartime greater endurance takes precedence over payload.
