Detmerian Aerospace Dynamics (DAS) is a public limited company (plc) in the United Kingdom of Isselmere-Nieland formed by the general partnership of Fennerby Aerotechnics Company and Lyme and Martens Industries, plc, with separate legal personality from those two firms.[1] It is the primary provider of aircraft to the Royal Isselmere-Nieland Air Force (RINAF) and the Royal Isselmere-Nieland Navy's Fleet Air Arm (FAA). The firm's headquarters are in Fennerby, Detmere.

History

DAS emerged from the acquisition of Fennerby Aerotechnics (FAC) by Lyme and Martens Industries following the former firm's economic difficulties resulting from cost overruns of the Strategic Bomber 21 project despite the success of the domestically produced ZaS-27 Firebird licensed from Zoogie Aerospace. All aircraft manufactured by DAS have a DAS number followed by a type suffix where appropriate.
