Glaines class destroyer
The Glaines- or County-class destroyer was built by the Royal Shipyards of Isselmere-Nieland between 2003 and 2005[1] before being replaced by the Wallace-class. The Glaines-class was an air defence guided missile destroyer primarily equipped with the GWS.57 Erne surface-to-air missile. The destroyer served in many different fleets and was a superb export success for the Royal Shipyards, which occasionally still produces updated versions of the design for foreign buyers.
