Liga Starblaydia Player of the Year, Season 1, World Cup Hall of Fame candidate, Starblaydia All-Time XI Nomination</

Nick Matranga is one of Starblaydia's longest-serving players, having been to the Finals of World Cups 19, 20, 21 and 22. He has achieved the feat of scoring a goal in all four of those Tournaments, something not even the legendary Simeone Di Bradini has managed for Starblaydia.

Nick is the eldest son of former Starblaydi international Aiden Matranga, as well as the brother of Itechton Matranga, the latest of the Matranga brood to make it into Starblaydia's Football team. Nick went to three Under-21 World Cups (7, 8 and 9) and won 10 U-21 Caps, scoring 4 goals. He was named as Captain for the 9th Under-21 World Cup but, after an impressive Group Stage, Starblaydia fell to Druida in the Second Round. He went on to win 46 caps for his country, scoring an incredible 14 goals from his wide midfield berth, just one short of Nikola Lazerevski's benchmark total for strikers of 15 goals.

As a club player, Nick took the Montepool Waves to great success when Liga Starblaydia was formed, even winning the Player of the Year award for Season One. He was at the heart of everything good that the Waves produced and never let his country down either.

He is the father of Jade Matranga.
