Jaime Oberlander is famous as Starblaydia's only two-time World Cup Winner, having been the only player to have been a member of both Championship-winning squads in World Cups 25 & 28.
Originally he taken to the 10th Atlantian Oceania Cup of Association Football as an eighteen year-old merely for the experience, but four years later he travelled as the owner of the Number-Fourteen shirt with Starblaydia throughout World Cup 25 as a fully-fledged squad member. He made 16 appearances during that Cup, as well as being a crucial tactical substitution in the Final itself, coming on to be part of a defensive 'back-two' as Starblaydia attempted to break through the Karelan defence of the Orange-Blues.
He then went on to become a crucial part of Starblaydia's central defence, earning the Number Five shirt from coach Khim Azanulbizarn. Starblaydia's best result during that time was a third place in World Cup 27, where Oberlander scored in a 3-0 win in the Group Stages over Commerce Heights.
By World Cup 28 he was thirty-four years old and included as the Number 20 shirt, bringing experience to some of the youngsters around him. He only made five appearances across the Qualifying and Finals campaign, but Starblaydia emerged victorious over Bedistan on penalties for their second glorious victory, and Jaime was the only player to have been there at the first.
Immediately after the second title, Jaime was made manager of the Starblaydia Under-21s and took control of them for three tournaments. With no Under-21 World Cups to play in, Starblaydia entered the Nemyan Swiss Cheese Cup, the Puntafora Football Invitational and the 1st AO Under-21 Cup; their best result came in the Pacitalian Puntafora Cup, finishing in fourth place to Becquerelia.
By World Cup 30, Khim Azanulbizarn had resigned from Starblaydia's top post and Jaime Oberlander was his replacement. He presided over the next four World Cups, which not only saw a decline in Starblaydi football in the sixteen years - a drop in rank from first to twenty-first, but also their two worst Finals appearances ever, losing all three group stage matches twice in succession. Starblaydia's international football hiatus intervened before he could bring the grass roots of the game back up to scratch and so ended with the worst games-won percentage of any Starblaydi World Cup manager since Guylain N'Dumbu-Nsungu. HE did, however, lead Starblaydia's Indigenous side to a Championship win in Ariddia, utilising Nemyans, Dwarves and indigenous Starblaydi players to take the title over Milchama.
When Starblaydia returned for World Cup 38, seventy-one year-old Jaime was made manager - of the fledgling Pazhujeb Islands national football team. He first had to take charge of their Under-21 side in the second Di Bradini Cup.
