The Federative Sikh Republic of Space Union is a democratic, right-wing nation located in the Atlantian Oceanian region on the Foringana continent. Made up of mostly Indian ethnicity, Space Union is a modertly sized nation that has a both strong economy and strong military. It is the northeastern neighbor of the Democratic Capitalist Republic of Pacitalia and the eastern neighbor of the People's Democratic Republic of Izistan, both of which are close allies of Space Union. The Space Union country is a medium-sized in terms of land, being a little less than one-half the size of its Pacitalian neighbor, relatively. It is bordered mostly by land but it has a large shoreline next to the Forginana Ocean.

Space Union is a well known advicate of human rights across the world and civil rights, alike. It features one of the best rights record in the world and came in as one of the 100-best human rights recorded nations in an international poll. Generally, the Space Union citizenry are conservative, right-wing (fiscal) compassionate people that tend to grip on their rights feariously, making them left-wingish when it comes to moral. This has classified Space Union as a libertarian nation in world recognization. Space Union has also legalized same-sex marriages and civil unions between gay and lesbian couples, making it one of the most civil-rights loving nation and libertarianist in the world.

The Space Union economy is based on a free market, capitalist model. It has one of the least regulated economies in the Atlantian Oceania along with comapred to allied nations. Corporations tend to receive large subsidaries and usually get the benefit of the doubt in civil cases, though, it is fully recognized that Space Union is a staunch opponent to monopolies and corporate abuse of power. The largest well known break up of a monopoly in Space Union was the Union v Weshington case, where the Weshington oil Corporation monopolized the entire Space Union ethanol industry. Space Union is a major player in the international stage as a recognized human rights protector and a loyal ally. In terms of trade, Space Union has also grown from isolationism to having active trading with a large chunk of nations, mostly friendly and allied, though, it is self-sufficient in many areas.

Space Union is a large nation, numbering over 2.7 billion people that is made up of mostly Indian ethnicity. This is largely because of its direct relationship with the former Democratic Republic of India, before its collapse, and similar folk. The Space Union people share many traditions with Indians, though, Space Unionist are generally Sikh - followers of the relgion of Sikhism. Indians/Asians make up around 71% of the population, while the rest is made up of 12% Anglo-Saxon, 10% Pacific Islanders, 5% Persian, and 2% Italian. This gives Space Union a large mix of other ethnicities, though, there are no major conflicts among the different communities.

In this tradition, all across the nation, religious temples, buildings, and other shelters provide free meals to anyone that comes to them. No one discriminated based on ethnicity, gender, or color. Volunteers reguarly take off time to feed the people while also having some for themselves. This tradition is most likely the oldest tradition in Space Union, according to historians, and is the most heavily guarded by its people, not allowing anyone to stop them from doing it.

Another area that Space Union is considered to be quite advanced in is its food. Space Union food follows Sikh culture and other ethnicity cultures by serving Indian food that is mixed with food from other nationalities such as Italian sauces and Danish biscuits. Foreignors from all over the world come to Space Union's capital, Ayadi, to taste these exotic foods with some of the best spices known to the world being found in the capital. One spice in particular, called Mirchswad, is very spicy and is extremely popular thanks to its rich taste that makes one's tongue feel in heaven even with the worst tasting food.

Space Union is one of the largest Sikh nation's in the world, thanks to a large Sikh majority in Space Union, at 67% of the population, that descended from Punjab. Sikhism has been declared the national religion, though, people are free to worship whatever they wish and can openly deny Sikhism. The second largest religion in Space Union, at 21% of the population, is Christianity, followed mostly by Anglo-Saxon and Italians. Other minor religions are Islam, Hinduism, and Judisism, though, they all number less than 10% in terms of followers in population.

Suffrage and Voting:

Under Space Union law, any citizen of Space Union within the provinces is capable of voting once he/she turns age 18. If a person lives within a Space Union territory, he/she can vote when they turn 21. But the later does not apply to anyone, yet, as Space Union currently does not have any territories abroad or at home.

Language:

Although Space Union follows many languages because of its diverse ethnicity, its main language is Conabi. Conabi is a direct descendant of Punjabi, but being far less complex and more straightfoward. Conabi is recognized as the national language of Space Union, therefore many businesses and organizations in Space Union follow and use Conabi as their main language when inside Space Union, though, English is also used frequently in the business world. After Conabi, English is the second most used language and is required to be known by all citizens at the most basic levels of communication.

Another language that Space Union follows in great numbers is the Pacitalian language of Pacitalian, being one of the most popular foreign languages in Space Union along with Dienstadi, The Macabee's official language, that is also very popular as foreign language in high school and college.

Education:

Space Union's Educational System is an generously funded system in the entire nation, being directly overseen by the Federal Government. Considered a very high quality system in terms of education and overall teaching. But on major complaint by mostly foreigners is the level of toughness in the school, citing that children having to get at least a 84% as an overall grade to pass that class but many analyst cite this as the main reason why Space Union's educational system and graduates are some of the top and brightest in the world.

Preschool/Phase I:

Preschool or Phase I, as called in Space Union, is the beginning of the educational system and starts at the age of 3. It is required by every student and is absolutely free to the public, though, non-citizens staying in Space Union must pay a small fee to enroll in the school. At this level, Space Union children learn how to do basic reading, mathametics, writing, and skills that form the foundation for later years to build upon. There are three divisions, or classes/grades as called by other nations, in Phase I school, Division 1, 2, and 3. Phase I follows a one class/teacher system where one teacher instructs the students in all these skills all day. Students between age 3-5 attend this school. At the end of the last divisional year, students take a exam called Exam I that they must score 84% or higher to gain acceptance into Phase II or face staying behind a division.

Primary School/Phase II:

Primary, or Phase II school is the next step in the educational ladder for every student. All children are required to have taken Phase I school or passed an entrance exam (seperate from Phase I exams) to gain admission into a Phase II school. In Phase II school, students build upon their basic skills and take a wide variety of subjects. The core subjects are Science, Math, Language/Conabi, Language/English, and Social Studies. Other subjects are PE, Health, and an elective that may include early beginning of a new school. Unlike other nations, Phase II does seperate classes for each subject instead of one class/one teacher system, similar to high schools in other nations, but instead has a 8 Period-Day. Phase II schools also generally have sports and academic clubs that students are allowed to join as after-school activity or elective. Phase II is attended by students age 6-13 in Divisions 4-12, all of which is mandatory to take by all students. At the end of the last divisional year, students must pass an exam at the end of the year called Exam II and must gain 84% of higher to pass and move on to Phase III school or face staying behind.

Secondary School/Phase III:

Secondary, or Phase III school, is the next step in the educational ladder after Phase II school graduation. All students must have taken Phase III school or passed an entrance exam (seperate from Exam I or II). In Phase III school, students build upon the skills and knowledge they have learned in Phase II to finish their learning. The main difference between a Phase III school and a Phase II school is that students are no longer required to take Language/English or Language/Conabi (their choice of which one) and instead choose a foreign language to take. Foreign languages vary from Pacitalian to Dienstadi to Hindi to French. At least 4 years of one foreign language must be taken to pase Phase III school. Like Phase II school, Phase III school has an 8 Period-Day, having the five core subjects, PE, one elective, and a foreign language they may choose. The Core subjects are available in 3 forms: Regular, Honors, and Advanced Placement (AP), ordered in hardest. While Regular gives you no benefit, Honors allows you to add 0.3 to your GPA for that class while Advanced Placement allows you to take that course for college and also add 0.5 to your GPA. Extracurricular activities like sports are also heavily encouraged. Students from age 14-18 take Phase III school in Divisions 13-17. At the end of Division 17, students must take Exam III and get 84% at least to pass. Diplomas are then given out, which fall into three categories: Proficient Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Master Diploma. Student's score on Exam III along with their entire averaged score of their entire life are average together to give the GPA. Students that have a GPA of 3.0-3.4 get the Proficient Diploma. Students with a GPA of 3.5-3.9 get an Advanced Diploma. Finally, students that get a GPA of 4.0 or above (in some circumstances) get the Master Diploma. A diploma is mandatory to leave Phase III school and gain admittance in an Institution.

Institution:

Institutions are the next step in Space Union education after graduating from Phase III school. It is similar to colleges and universities in other nations, being the place where students become specialized. In Institutions, sutdents begin to specialize their subjects and classes based on what career they will take, no longer having to take any core subject unless on their own, though, Mathematics is required no matter what. Space Union's Institutions are one of the world's best in terms of education having a huge sum of foreign students trying for admission within Institutions. Students being to take subjects based on their future goals like if they wish to be doctors they will take Medical Science or Advanced Chemical Medicines courses. But unlike other colleges in the world, Institutions have a set time of the day that students must attend similar to Phase I, II, and III schools, but Institutions generally start later, like at 10:00 being the norm across the nation. Generally, Institutions are broken down into 4 domains (similar to divisions), which are attended to by students 19-23 years old. At the end of the 4th Domain, students must pass an Institutional Exam, which they must score higher than 85% to pass. Based on their score and GPA of all years of education, colleges give out three degrees: the Knight Degree, Master Degree, and the Grand Degree. The Knight Degree is the minimul degree you need to go to Advanced Institutional School, you must have a GPA of 3.0-3.4 to get it. Master Degree is obtained by having a GPA of 3.5-3.9. Finally, the Grand Degree is a degree that must be obtained by getting a GPA of 4.0. Once Institution has been completed, students no longer have to go to any more schools and instead can apply for jobs in the real world, especially ones with Grand Degrees, which allows them to gain well paying jobs without going to Advanced Institutions.

Institutions are also extremely expensive for their extrordinary education, making it hard for parents to send students through them even if they are quite well off. So the Space Union government gives off many Student Loans for any amount that will be payed off once the person gains a solid job and finishes his/her education. This has allowed almost everyone in Space Union to go to an institution no matter what there background is, making Space Union one of the most enticing "Land of Oppurtunity" nations in the world.

Advanced Institutions:

Advanced Institutions is the last step in the educational system of Space Union (the last step in the public system, though, there are more places to go for higher education, albeit those are private and far more expensive, though). In Advanced Institutions, students submit what job/career they wish to take and a schedule with all the courses nessessary for that career and given to him/her. In almost everyway, Advanced Institutions are similar to Institutions, to the point that many are run by the same organization as an Institution. This is the equivalent to a post-graduate school in other countries, though, more specialized and focused. Students must take this for 4 years in Domains 5-9 from ages 24-28. Once they finish Domain 9, they must take an Advanced Institutional Exam which they must score at least 87% on to pass. If they do not, they must repeat the last year again until they do pass it. It is not uncommon to see this happen, a large majority must repeat the last year at least once more, but in the long run this help solidify all their learnings further. At the end of the year, the school averages the Advanced Institutional Exam along with all the previous exams from Exam I to Institutional Exam and then average all the grades together from Division 1 to Domain 9. Once both are done, the two statistics are average together to give the Grand GPA or GGPA, as called by officials. Based on this, the Advanced Institution gives three degrees: the Silver Degree, the Gold Degree, and the Platinium Degree. The Silver Degree is aquired by having a GPA of 3.0-3.4 and is equivalent to higher than a Bachelors degree in other countries. A Gold Degree is aquired by having a GPA of 3.5-3.9 and is the equivalent of higher than a Masters degree in other nations. Finally, the highest and one of the most prestigious degrees in the world to have is the Platinium Degree which is aquired by having a perfect GPA of 4.0. and is equivalent to higher than even a PhD. If aquired, this degree will allow you to have any job in the world because of its sheer prestige and rarity. Only 1 out of 10,000 Space Unionist has one of these.

Sports:

One of Space Union's largest past-times is the game of cricket. Following the Indian heritage in cricket, Space Unions are considered rabid cricket fans that are extremely patriotic of their cricket team. Not only that but it is estimated that over 85% of the population actively watches ODI and test matches across the nation, making it one of the most cricket-loving nation's in the world. Another sport that Space Unionist enjoy is Gridball or American Football. Space Union's gridball team called the Firestrikers are the Union's best football players from every regional team and is the national team. Firestrikers made their first debut in the International Gridball world when it entered the Atlantian Oceania Bowl, in which it was proclaimed the champion and was the only team to be undefeated in the entire series.

Government/Politics:

Government Structure:

The Space Union government is the only Federative-Republican System user in the world, partly since it is the founder of this type of government system. The Federative-Republican System works by having a the leader of the government seperate from the other branches, making them equal in power and keeping leadership uneffected from rivalries between government branches. The Space Union government is made up of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches. Each of these are equal in power and have an established checks-and-balances system that assures it will remain that way. The Space Union government currently has over 22 million people employed for it throughout the nation directly with a larger sum being unemployed indirectly to it.

Federate:

The Federate of the Space Union government is the leader of the Space Union and acts as its Head of State and Head of Government official. He/she precides over the entire country and has considerable power while not being in any of the branches, something unique about the Federative-Republican System. This allows the Federate to not be strangled within inter-branch rivalries and lets the nation operate at its most capable form. The current Federate is Satpul Singh, replacing former Federate Harsimran Mann, who was ousted from office by Space Union's first impeachment. Some of the Federate's powers include the following:

• Able to award medals and honors upon citizenry.
• Represents the entire nation in the world stage.
• Supreme Ruler of the Nation.
• Commander-in-Chief of the Space Union Armed Forces

This are just some of the Federate's powers. He can also gain emergency powers during crisis if the Chamber of Electorates allows him to do so. But it has been seen that a Federate is capable of gaining emergency power without their approval, albeit for only 48 hours, though, before approval for further power is needed.

Also the Federate is adviced by a Council of Officials, made up of the three figureheads of each branch. This allows him to direct his policy based on each branches report and suggestions. Not only that but the branches have direct influence on the policy making of the government, something that other governments don't give to such degrees.

The Federate is capable of running for 4 terms each being 4 years long.

Executive Branch:

The Executive Branch of Space Union is the branch that is responsible for carrying out the laws passed by the government among other things. The Executive Branch is headed by the Prime Minister, seperate from the other ministers, and is composed of the Council of Ministers. In the Council of Ministers, all 14 of the Department Ministers come together and form the group. The executive branch is the main beuracracy of the government and therefore is responsible for managing the country. The Council of Ministers is similar to a Cabinent in foreign nations and other governmental systems. All cabinent members are appointed by the Federate. These are all the Departments:

The Prime Minister heads the Executive Branch and therefore is also in the Council of Officials for the Federate. But the Prime Minister also acts as the Vice Federate or the person that takes the place of the Federate when he/she is not available for the job or has died.

The Prime Minister serves until a Vote of No Confidence is given by Cabinent officials. If successful, the Prime Minister is stripped of that title and a new Prime Minister is appointed by the Federate.

Legislative Branch:

The Space Union Legislative Branch is the branch of government responsible for creating laws for the government. The branch is composed of the Chamber of Electorates that makes the laws. Electorates, selected from each state, come to the Chamber and represent their states. The number of Electorates is determined by population of each state. There is a total of 532 seats. A state is given the number of seats based on 10 million pop per Electoral seat. Here are the number of seats per state:

The Chamber is located in the capital city of Ayadi on Chundt Strait, a hill that translates into "Sun Strait" because of its nature to be the last place in the city to go dark. The leader of the Chamber is the Represenative of the Chamber (ROC) who is similar to the Speaker of the House position in the former United States. He/she is a member of the Council of Officials and is third in line if for the succession of the Federative office.

Electorates serve for 2 terms maximum, each being 4 years long. The Represenative of the Chamber has no set limit except until the Chamber decides it needs a new Represenative or if that Represenative looses his/her chair in the Chamber in an election. When either of these happens, one of the Electorates is elected to that chair.

Judicial Branch:

The Judicial Branch is the branch of the government responsible for overseeing and bringing equal justice to the nation in civil and criminal cases while also having the power of judicial review. The branch is divided into four levels:

• High Court
• National/Government Courts
• Provincial Courts
• District Courts

The Judicial Branch is led by the national courts, the highest being the High Court or the equivalent of a Supreme Court in other nations. The High Court is responsible for dealing with cases involving constitutional rights, major decisions that will affect the nation on whole, and to see if laws are constitutional. The High Court is comprised of 15 justices, which select a Chief Justice from their rank. The Chief Justice is the represenative of the entire Judicial branch and is a member of the Council of Officials. He/she is considered the most senior and wisest judge in the entire branch for a good reason then. The National/Government Courts are the next level down, dealing with mostly military cases such as treason and court martials. The level below that is the State Court, which is the supreme court for the provinces. They make decisions on cases that effect only one of the provinces and not the entire nation. The lowest is the District Courts. These are the local city courts that hear local criminal cases within the city or county that aren't overly important.

The Justices all serve for life-time terms. Lower courts are decided upon local laws on their terms. The Chief Justice is Chief Justice for life until he/she retires, dies, or is impeached.

The Space Union economy is one of the most powerful economies in the world for its size. This owes to its large pool of educated citizenry that are allow Space Union to have a Frightening economy that is unmatched for its size. Its major industries are Information Technology Industry, Medical Industry, Uranium Mining Industry, Arms Manufacturing Industry, and its Automobile Industry. Altogether, these make up the large sector of the Space Union economy with the first two having an overwhelming majority of the economy in terms out GDP. The Space Union economy follows a traditional free market, capitalist model with very few regulations besides worker rights laws and anti-monopoly laws. Corporations have a great deal of space to excercise power in the economy, though, their constant competition limits corporations, naturally, from becoming overly powerful. Corporations are also frequent recievers of subsidaries, particularly electronics and medical companies to create medicine and electronics are far cheaper prices than many other nations. This is a the main reason for Space Union's economic success and advanced economy.

The large majority of Space Union is employed in the white collar industries, like the IT and medical fields. This comes to 76% of the workforce is within those two fields alone, while the rest are within the three other major fields. But a grand total of 82% of the workforce is white collar. It was found that 12% is blue-collar workers and around 6% are agricultural workers, or green collars. Space Union, in terms of foreign policy, is one of the worlds most civil rights and human rights-loving nations, to date. It sports an untarnished human rights record that is envyed by others. This comes true as Space Union laws make civil rights and human rights for enemies and citizens alike extremely high and abuse of any of these is not tolerated within the Union. This principle is what has shaped its foreign polic, along with other policies, and who its friends are for the past three decades. Space Union is known to not have relationships with human rights abusers while also strengthening them with like-minded nations.

Another keystone of the Space Union foreign policy, is democracy. Democracy, in Space Union's opinion, is what allows for civil, political, and human rights to succeed and develop. Without it, there can be no protection of these solemn rights that every human is born to and deserves to have. That is why it is also allied and friendly with mostly democracies, although, there are exceptions with nations that have only semi-democratic nations but strong rights protectors. This has allowed Space Union to become part of the Woodstock Pact, an alliance devoted to the protection of democracy and human rights across the world. This pact also is how Space Union has come into contact with many of its closest allies.

One of the most surprising fact of Space Union, considering its right-wing population, is its peaceful nature. Space Union has not engaged in an active war for over two decades, the last being the Doomie-Union War. Generally, Space Union is known to steer away from conflicts and try to prevent them from happening through diplomatic and economic means including pressure. If these fail, though, Space Union has a large, professional military ready to handle any event that might threaten its national security or well-being. The Space Union military is known to be a fearsome fighting force that, while other militaries make soldiers fight for fear, fight for their love for their family and motherland. This has ensured that Space Union has won or at least caused a stalement in any conflict that it has been forced to use its military in.

International Relationships:

Space Union sports many friends in the international arena that are like-minded countries. Space Union's friends and allies are nations that are known human and civil rights protectors along with at least partially democratic. Most of its allies and friends have come from joining the Woodstock Pact were members and Space Union found that they had much in common, with many nations becoming close allies to Space Union. Military:

Breakdown/Introduction/Mission:

The Space Union military is the defense force that protects the Space Union homeland while also engaging enemy threats abroad where nessessary. It is a large, professional organization that ensures that Space Unionist can go to sleep safetly at night. It is an all-volunteer force that continues to allow the Space Union military to keep its size and not force any conscription in the near future. The Space Union military is broken down into five components: the Space Union Army, the Space Union Navy, the Space Union Air Force, the Space Union Marines, and the Space Union Coastal Guard. Each section is considered to be an independent branch and therefore elects its own Chief-of-Staff, though Marines and the Coastal Guard still are under naval jurisdiction so this does not apply to them. This gives it the flexibility to ensure it can follow Space Union's doctrine and policies, correctly.

Space Union Army:

The Space Union Army is the ground force segment of the Space Union military. It is responsible for protecting the nation from ground invasions while also carrying out ground campaigns against enemy states and threats. It is a professional, all-volunteer force that is comprised of three Theaters. It currently is around 20 million personal altogether. This makes it the largest branch in the Union military. In terms of budget, it receives around 20% of the budget from the overall military budget, making it the smallest in terms of spending. But still, this does not prevent it to be one of the most advanced equipped armies in the world. It gets most of its military gear from the Isselmere corporation of Isselmere Motor Works (IMW). This has allowed the Space Union military to be a match for any army, though, it designs its own main battle tanks for itself along with other units.

Space Union Navy:

The Space Union Navy is the branch of the military responsible for protecting Space Union's homeland from naval invasions along with protecting its assets. These assets can range from commercial shipping to resource tankers. It is an all-volunteer force that is compromised of over 10,000 ships alone and allows Space Union to be a naval power for its population. The navy focuses around the doctrine of flexibility and air power, being the first at a scene in the world and launching the opening campaign. It is able to do any mission in the world, ranging from enforcing air superiority to controlling the sea to using its Marines to control the ground till the Army arrives. This has made it dubbed the "Complete Branch" because of its ability to fight on any element and not only on the water. The Space Union Navy receives around 35% of the military budget and therefore gives it access to almost any equipment in the world. The main provider of its naval needs is Portland Iron Works, a corporation based in Space Union's close ally, Sarzonia. Known for its quality ships, Portland Iron Works wins almost every naval contract the Space Union Navy hands out.

Space Union Air Force:

The Space Union Air Force is the branch of the military responsible for controlling the sky and enforcing Space Union's air power. It's doctrine is to ensure air superiority in Space Union airspace along with in campaigns while also protecting commercial and military assets from enemy harm. While many nation's consider the navy or the army their militaries pride, Space Union consideres the Air Force its pride and joy. It is Space Union's most powerful branch and for that reason extremely large, being larger than many nation's air force. It is known that Space Union's Air Force has above 110,000 aircrafts in its service alone, while it receives 45% of the budget. Capable of doing its mission with the upmost flexibility and efficiency, it is the branch that wins the war for Space Union with its large fleet of strategic bombers. Space Union Air Force gets almost all of its fleet from Space Union-based SUNACS aerospace giant. This has made it extremely popular in Space Union and therefore why Space Union usually prefers it over the other branches, which buy from oversees and foreign nations.

Communications:

Space Union is home to some of the most advanced communication networks in the world. This includes it wireless, phone, internet, cable, TV, satellite, and radio networks that span the country. This comes thanks to large government investments in the communications industry and large subsidaries to them. This has allowed the industry to flourish and allowed Space Union's to be one of the most connected citizens in the world in the new technological era.

Wireless Network:

As a leader in IT industry and technology, Space Union is home to one of the world's most advanced wireless networks in the world that hooks up the entire nation to each other, allowing for communication with anyone in the nation and world. Known as the Blue Eye, this system has been an ongoing project by the private industry and the government in making sure that the nation is fully propelled into the 21st century with an adequate infrastructure for all the new forthcoming technologies. Costing upwards $2 trillion, the project has resulted in Space Union having connection with the world at any place in the country thanks to wireless stations dotting the entire country.

TV Network:

Space Union houses a premium TV network that connects almost 90% of Space Unin citizens to the TV world. This comes in its extensive satellite, cable,a and its analogue TV networks that dots the entire nation, covering it completely. It is estimated that 74% of Space Unionist have satellite, 21% have cable, and finally 4% have old analogue systems. This has allowed for an unprecedant information retrieval in the nation's history, and combined with the internet, it has allowed many Space Unionist to stay up-to-date in world affairs.

Internet:

The Space Union Internet, like it's other communication networks, is highly developed and is estimated that almost 95% of the nation is connected at home or work, in some way. The Space Union internet domain is .su, though, connection to about anyother domain is available. The government, though, has received its own domain called .sug, housing all government-related websites here. One major problem, though, is the pornography problem, related to children's access. Traditionally Space Union has not been very leanent on this but after the Conservative Movement, laws have been passed that have restricted access but a poll has revealed that over 30% of children still view it. New laws may be enacted.

Phone/Voice over IP Network:

Space Union, like its other communications networks, has a highly developed Phone network across the country. This includes its extensive underground cable network that runs through the entire country. The nation also supports a large fiber-optics network that is being invested in to replace the older cable network so that citizens have their calls delivered faster and more efficiently while also opening up more bandwith for calls. One major advancement, though, is Space Union's national adoption of Voice over IP network. This system has been phased in to allow for the best call quality, speed, and capability. All new telephones are designed for this manner and have successful sold over 2 billion new sets per year as citizens switch over to the new standard.

The Environment:

One of Space Union's biggest weakspots in terms of domestic policy has been its environmental policy. For the past couple of decades, Space Union has had a minimum policy for protection of the environment with support for corporations. This has allowed for tremendous economic growth but the environment has payed with billions of trees cut, pollution on the rise, and air quality shrinking. But over the past decade, Space Union's officials have begun to take measures to hamper this problem with the passing of the following bills:

• Air Treatment Act - This act has required cars, factories, and other air polluting object to decrease pollution to a standard set by the government. Fines and punishment are readily handed to those who do not comply, including corporations.
• Water Cleansing Act - This act has created a nation-wide program to clean up polluted lakes, rivers, and bodies of water. Already, the program has decreased the amount of pollution in Space Union's water by 30% in the last couple of years.
• Animal Protection Act - This act has protected all endangerd, near-extinct, and threatened animals from bounty hunting, sport, and human interference unless in dire condition.

These are the three main environmentalist acts pushed through the Space Union legislative branch. Other minor acts have been passed that have greatly curbed the environmental destruction of Space Union including trees, wildlife, and the ecosystem. Scientist across the world have applauded Space Union for these acts but have stressed that more is needed, though, for now that is unlikely with economic growth a priority and environmental care once more on the backburner of issues.

Transportation:

The Space Union transportation is a network of roads, highways, airports, railroads, and every possible transporation method combined. Together they form the backbone of Space Union's commerce economy by allowing for great mobility over the nation through many means. The government has invested heavily in the construction of new highways, expansions of old ones, paving of dirt paths, and even pushing for new trains that are environmentally friendly and far more efficient at the same time.

Roads/Highways:

The Space Union road and highway system is one of the most complex and biggest in the world for its size. With a road density greater than many nations, almost every part of Space Union is connected with some path. Space Union roads and highways are divided into the following system:

• ZW-Class Highways: 12+ Lanes
• Z-Class Highways: 8-10 Lanes
• Y-Class Highways: 5-7 Lanes
• X-Class Highways: 2-4 Lanes
• W-Class Roads: 1 Lanes

Each class is designed to handle the amount of traffic in the area or region. The top classes are the least in number while the bottom classes are the most in number. This means that there are only a few ZW-Class Highways while there are bounds and bounds of W-Class Roads. One standard feature on every highway is that there are four emergency lanes on each side to ensure that emergency vehicles don't disrupt traffic nor do they have to wait for traffic to clear. These lanes are also available to cars that have to pull over for problems. On W-Class Roads, there is only one emergency lane or none if development isn't scheduled for it yet, though, a program has ensured that every road will have at least one emergency lane on each side.

Note: Lanes means the amount of lanes on one-side of the road. There are two sides on a road/highway.

ZW-Class Highways:

ZW-Class Highways are the large mammoths of transportation for Space Union's infrastructure. These highways have in excess of 12 lanes on each side of the highway plus the four emergency lanes on each side. This means that there are a minimum of thirty-two lanes for a ZW-Class highway. For that reason, this type of highway is the least common and is only used in major transportation ruites like the Ayadi Highway that connects Ayadi and the city of Chuckher. Others are the Jeevan Memorial Highway that connects the commercial cities of Liberty and Chita-Shaer. The biggest is the Ayadi Highway that has thirty-six lanes in total, but expansions to others including that one might change that, in the near future.

One interesting feature of the ZW-Class is that it has set aside two lanes for paying customers to use. This lane has a speed limit that is twenty miles higher than the other lanes. For a tax of $10 per person this has attracted many to these lanes and has ensured a nice income for many states to use with a ZW-Class highway in their jurisdiction with Khalsistan having two of these, giving it a tremendous income boost.

Z-Class Highways:

The Z-Class Highways are the second-largest highways in Space Union and are used to connect major cities across the country. They have ten to eight lanes plus four emergency on each side giving the minimum to be a Z-Class Highway at twenty-four lanes in total. The most famous is the Sunshire Highway that connects the cities of Rektin and Gutkha. Although not as busy or big as the Ayadi Highway, this highway is still quite large and ranks as the seventh largest highway in the nation behind the six ZW-Class highways. The Z-Class highways, unlike the ZW-Class highways, don't have any "Express" lanes that can be paid for.

Y-Class Highways:

The Y-Class Highways are the next highway type, lower than both the ZW-Class and Z-Class Highways. It features from 5-7 lanes on each side plus its traditional four emergency lanes. The most notable of this type is the Xasov-Heywa Highway that connects the two major cities, but is not big for the population usually takes a more rural ruite to get to the cities. Like the Z-Class Highways, the Y-Class does not feature any "Express" lanes and therefore is free of charge in all lanes. An estimated, 1.8 billion people use this type of highway per day.

X-Class Highways:

The X-Class Highways are the smallest type of highway, lower than the ZW-, Z-, and Y-Class Highways. But they are the most common of all the types, dotting the entire country and making up as the main backbone of the highway system. Some of the most known ones are the Eshtin and Shavd highway. These highways feature from 2-4 lanes along with the standard four emergency ones on each side. The X-Class is notable for being the first class that does not get any formal name, but instead a number. All levels higher get formal names while all levels lower get designation numbers. The X-Class get X-1 - X-87 numbers. The Estin and Shavd one is called the X-24.

W-Class Roads:

The W-Class roads are the smallest type of road transportation and the last level, being lower than the ZW-, Z-, Y-, and X-Class Highways. They are the most common and are found in local areas. The W-Class's designations are from W-1 to W-542. A couple of noticable W-class roads are the W-7 and W-98, both of which are the largest of their class and most traveled on. It is estimated that 2.35 billion people use this type of highway each day for any purpose. They have one lane and one emergency lane on each side, giving it a total of four lanes.

Railroad Network:

Along with its road system, Space Union has a well-developed railroad network that criss-crossed the entire nation, connecting almost every minor city and passing through almost every town. Before the last decade, most of the tracks are old and made out of steel, remants from the Industrial Revolution. These are fit for the old types of trains that usually carry resources from place to place, nothing too fancy. But with train use on an increasing demand as an alternative to long car rides and expensive airplane tickets, the government has taken action to expand the network and refurbish them nationwide in a multi-trillion dollar program. These new tracks are made from aluminium-titanium alloys and are completely brand new. These new tracks allow trains to move faster and are compatable with the newest, efficient trains on the market. It is estimated that over 70% of the tracks have been replaced by these type.

Commercial Train Industry:

As Space Unionist look for alternatives for domestic long-range travel, they get three options: airplanes, cars, and trains. Space Unionist generally do not like long car rides and neither do they wish to pay over $1,000 for plane tickets, so the increasingly popular alternative method is buying train tickets that ensure a very speedy travel along with a far less expensive ticket than a comparable airplane one. This has seen Space Union's almost dead commercial industry come back alive as it continues to grow at a sparking rate over the past years. This fueled by increasing demand has made it actually commercially viable to upgrade tracks that have allowed for the new types of trains to run through the country, the high-speed bullet trains. They have essentially replaced the old, box trains from the past and introduced the future. Many trains have comidities that exceed comparable classes in aircrafts by a large margin offering individual TVs to seats in Economy class versus only offering a large front-row TV for Economy-class in airplanes.

Maglev Revolution:

One interesting government decision on trains has been the Maglev Act. This act passed by the government has called upon the construction of Maglev tracks across the country to allow for the use of magnetic-powered trains. These trains that are environmentally-friendly, faster, and in the long-run cheaper, are a dream come true for environmentalist and politicians alike. The government has already begun funding for the construction of the infrastructure of this for the country along with the purchase and development of Maglev trains for public transportation needs. Already, over ten track ruites have been built all over the country, the most major being the Ayadi Maglev. It is expected that within a couple of years, almost 50% of the country will have access to these trains.

Aerospace Industry and Network:

The aerospace network of Space Union is a mainstream system of transportation that has developed from a underfunded, ragtag industry to a subsidized, high-tech, leading aerospace network for people to travel on. Space Union started out with only one major international airports that were of very low quality in the beginning of the 1960s but by the end of the 1990s, Space Union had established over seventy-five international airports and five major international airports. The Space Union airport system has been upgraded and modernized for the past decade and has resulted in the airport systems having new high-tech eqiuipment like advanced security systems, increased lounging areas, expansions for over 200 terminals, and more.

Geography/Climate:

Space Union is situated in the northerwestern tip of Foringana and next to the Foringana Ocean, having a coastline that makes up half of its border. Space Union naturally borders the nation of Pacitalia, to the southwest, while it borders Izistan to the west. Space Union is roughly 1.8 million km squared in area. It has an approximate border of 1,131km with Pacitalia while having a border of 1,719 kms with Izistan. It is approximatly the same size of Libya but 85,000 kms bigger.

Geography:

Space Union is a hilly nation that is broken down into four geographical regions: the Great Forest Region, the Fedwer Mountain Region, the Poyalic Grassland Region, and the Sikh Oceanic Region. Each of these four regions has different landscapes, specifies, and is generally quite different in apprearnce to another region. In terms of benchmarks, the highest elevation is Mt. Jeevan, which is 6,210 yards high while its lowest elevation is Yarsh Valley, which is 3,841 yards beneath sea level.

The Space Union territorial waters are 15 nm off the shore, while its Contiguous Claims are 28 nm off shore. Its Economic Exclusive Zone is 180 nm far from the shore, giving it significant economic control in the northern Foringana Ocean.

Great Forest Region:

The Great Forest Region is a large region in northeastern Space Union that is full of a huge forest that spans one-fifth of the entire country. The forest begins near the north-center of the country and extends toward the border with Izistan, who also contains the forest. The forest has been named the Green Forest for its abnormally bright green features that are in contrast with other forests in the region. This region is home to Thoria and Vighgroo. Some of Space Union's iron deposits are found here along with moderate amounts of coal.

Fedwer Mountain Region:

The Fedwer Mountain Region is a part of Space Union that contains the great Fedwer Mountain chain that extends from southwestern Space Union to the northwestern tip of Space Union. This large mountain chain is a great beauty and is the home to Mt. Jeevan, Space Union's tallest mountain and the highest elevation in the country, along with Yarsh Valley, the lowest point in Space Union in elevation. This is also the home of where most of Space Union's resources come from like its uranium, gold, iron, titanium, and other resources. One major problem in this region, though, is the large avalanches that happen in the spring season, causing a very low level of population density in the area. The states of Zaug and Tundha while also being partially in Khalistan.

Poyalic Grassland Region:

The Poyalic grassland region is home to Space Union's flattest terrain. The Poyalic region is in eastern Space Union near the Izistan border. This region has very few elevations and even those are quite insignificant. This is where most of Space Union's agricultural activity takes place and where most of the rural living takes place. Farmers here have large territories that grow Space Union's export plants like corn, sugar cane, apples, and mangoes. The population density here is extrordinary, second only to Sikh Oceanic region. The temperatures are usually moderate in this region, holding up to 68-75 degrees Farenheit usually. The state of Soorj is within this region while also being partially in Khalistan and Thoria.

Sikh Oceanic Region:

The Sikh Oceanic Region is on the west coastline of Space Union, extending from the southern point to the northwestern point of Space Union. It is west of the Fedwer Mountain Region. This is region is generally flat and is home to most of Space Union's coastline, allowing it to border the Forginana Ocean. Most immigrants and trade comes through this region, making it have many of Space Union's major cities within it like Chita-Shaer and Liberty. Because of its trade, it is also a great place for oppurtunity and jobs, causing it to have a large density compared to other regions in the Union. The main state within this region is Khalistan but portions of Zaug and Tuhnda are within this too.

Climate:

The Space Union climate varies tremendously based on region, though, overall it is considered warm thanks to the Foringana Jet Stream that brings warm waters to the Union, causing it to be generally warm. Precipitation varies greatly based on region with most of the country receiving up to 500mm per year in some shape or form. The combination of warmth and precipation has allowed Space Union to have a very vegitative terrain and land, having up to 24% of its land being arable.

History:

Founding of Harsimranster:

Harsimranster was the main state of the Space Union. It was founded on April 30th, 1922 by a group of 5 million individuals, from the United States of America and India, seeking true capitalism and prosperity. At first Harsimranster's economy was just Good but that was soon to change. In the early years of Harsimranster, a convention was held to create a constitution. It was created and signed in April of 1921. It provided citizens with few rights other than economically. It was truly a dictatorship, and the dictator was Marx V.

Reign of Marx V:

Marx V is one of the most mysterious characters in Space Union's history. He was Harsimranster's first leader. In 1922, a leader was needed for Harsimranster. The intermediate government planned to hold elections but widespread corruption in the bureaucracy halted that plan. In the spring of 1923, a group of individuals headed by Marx V, dismayed at the corruption of the intermediate government, rose up in a bloody coup. The group who was well armed and funded defeated the ill-equipped and under-funded army of Harsimranster. On July 12, 1923, Marx V was declared ruler of Harsimranster. At first he planned for elections but he soon realized that the people were unable to govern themselves so in September, Marx disbanded the intermediate Congress and setup a right-wing dictatorship. His main goal was to establish a capitalist country that flourished. He used economic policies of cutting taxes to fuel the economy. By the year 1928 he had successfully made the economy go from Strong to Thriving. Many people were fond of Marx and he had an appeal that made even his enemy have a soft spot for him. Through his guidance Harsimranster led economic growth in the 1920s. But with his economic growth came restrictions in people's civil and political rights. By the 1920s, Harsimranster's had rare political and civil rights. This angered many Harsimransterians. On February 20th, 1931, an armed revolt occurred against Marx V. He sent in the newly refurbished army to battle the rebels. At the Battle of Reshinton, Marx's troops drove the rebels out of Harsimranster, but Marx would never be able to win public confidence for the rest of his career/life. In March 1932, shortly after the armed revolt, an escapee from the revolt took up a sniper position outside of a Conference room where Marx was discussing his foreign agenda. As Marx left the building, the sniper shot at him, hitting him directly in the forehead. The sniper, later caught and hanged, said "he [Marx V] was the ambassador of the devil!" The death of Marx was seen as a tragic event in the Harsimranster's history but that would be its least of problems as a new fear came over Harsimranster shortly after Marx's death: Civil War!

Harsimransterian Civil War:

Marx's death signaled a period of turmoil that would sweep the country and plunge it into a civil war beyond anything. Only a few days after Marx's death, the Harsimranster's dictatorship collapsed and left the country in chaos and anarchy. Soon, though, Harsimranster was split into two groups: Captialist Truth Fighters (CTF) and the Communist Guerilla Movement of Liberation (CGML). The CTF was a group founded by former members of the dictatorship while the CGML was formed by rebels that had been driven out a year before. The two camps clashed in mountains, forests, grasslands, cities, and anywhere possible. Innocent civilians were killed as both sides started committing genocide like no other known in Harsimranster's history. As public support started disinegrating from both camps, people looked for a new power that would stop the war. The answer came as the Imperial Forces of Sikhism (IFS). This was a group of people that opposed both camps and tried to be the middleman. But as the violence escalated, the IFS were forced to fight back. The group's leader Yarsh Germal led IFS troops into battles and always come on top. Through the use of superior tactical strategies the IFS was able to defeat the CTF and CGML. In 1935, the Imperial's captured the capital, Harsimran City, and setup their government. By 1936, the CTF and CGML formally surrendered and Harsimransterian Civil War ended. The war had lasted from 1932-1936. A total of over $23,000,000 in damage was done just to private land. The economy was in shambles and the future looked bleak.

Formation of the Imperial Republic:

Yarsh was formally named the President of the Imperial Republic of Harsimranster in 1937. But great tasks lied ahead for him, for he had to rebuild an economy, unify a still divided nation, and overcome the corruption and crime that was widespread in Harsimranster. Beginning in 1938, Yarsh started a program called the Economic Growth of Capitalism (EGC) that was planned to increase investments in Harsimranster and rebuild their economy. The program was a complete success. The plan opened up the economy to full investments, tariffs were lifted, and taxes were cut, and government funded recovery, were some methods used to spur growth. By 1939, Harsimranster was growing at a speed of 12%. The growth brought expansion in industries such as the Uranium, Automobile, and Arms. This brought jobs to the citizens. By 1939, the unemployment rate went from 67% to 4%. But economist warned that if growth continued at such rates the economy was in-danger of overheating because of the production rate of goods far exceeding the demand. President Yarsh also knew that was the case. So in 1941, he started raising taxes, started raising tariffs, and passed laws that cut the expansion of corporations. By 1942, the economy was growing at a healthy pace of 8%. The economy was only one of his problems, though. In 1937, the government was recorded as one of the most corrupted governments in the world. In order to fight corruption, Yarsh started programs such as Corruption Detection Act that used measures such as impeachment to corruptors, owing money to the government if you were corrupt, rewards to people that reported corrupt officials and other procedures. By 1942, the government was recorded to have cut corruption by 61%! As corruption fell public opinion of the government skyrocketed. At the beginning of 1937, the government had a public approval 69% but by the end of 1942 the public approval was at 94%. Yarsh also increased foreign interactions. He was the first president to begin donations to other nations. In 1945, he began the Formal International Aid Act (FIAA) which ensured aid to any country that was in poverty, war, or in disorder. By the end of the 1940s, Harsimranster had donated up to $674 billion to other countries. But all this hard work ended on June 25, 1952, when President Yarsh resigned after serving for 15 years.

Tyranny of Ulaz:

His successor was Vice President Ulaz. On August 14th, 1952, Ulaz was officially recognized as President of the Imperial Republic of Harsimranster. He was known as a hardliner among the imperialist and was a major activist of unification. Over the years, communism began making a surge in neighboring countries. Fearing that Harsimranster would fall to communism/socialism, he formally banned the Communist Party from national elections although local elections were not banned. This action infuriated many communist, who took up arms against Ulaz. On January 12th, 1956, communist rebels attacked a military base. The attack killed 30 and injured 132. President Ulaz was horrified. The next day, he instated martial law and ordered an offensive against the communist and ordered killing of any that resisted. By the end of January, Harsimranster had executed 250,000 communist followers. Public opinion fell from 94% in 1942 to 56%, the lowest amount in the imperial republic's history. Fearing further escalation of the conflict into a Civil War, Ulaz banned all elections and setup a Corporate Police State. He ordered the forming of the Harsimranster Police Force (HPF) that killed countless political opponents and innocent people. By the end of 1959, the opinion of the government had fallen to 21%. Although, Ulaz's domestic policies were horrible, his economic policies were extraordinary. Ulaz enacted many government programs such as the Remaining Capitalist Act which helped setup enterprises and favored business over the people. Harsimranster's economy saw growth escalate to 9%. But civil and political liberties were cut as economic freedoms were increased. The populaces no longer had freedom of speech and were controlled in every way by the government. Newspapers were banned and reporters were killed if they signed no allegiance to the government. Many outside officials ranked Harsimranster as a Fascist state. Along with his taking rights from people, he installed compulsory military service that greatly expanded the armed forces. He also made Defense the top-priority in his budget. By the end of the year, Defense had 20% of the taxes to itself. In order to fund his military, though, he had to bring tax rates to 50%. This brought anger amongst the crowd but they did little to stop him as most were killed.

Industrialization:

One of Ulaz's most successful economic policies was Industrialization. When he came in power only 10% of Harsimranster had any industrial structure. Ulaz knew that without an industrial powerhouse, Harsimranster would never achieve a great military. So in 1961, Ulaz passed the Industrialization Aid Act (IAA). It ordered government officials to use government money to build factories, power plants, research centers, marketplaces, highways, railroads, and airports around the country. Once they built the structures they would be sold to the private sector except for the highways, airports, and railroads which were nationalized. Harsimranster saw huge growth in production power. By 1965, Harsimranster was an All-Consuming economy and 90% of the country was industrialized. Because of all the new structures, unemployment fell from 6% to 2.8%. A census conducted in 1968, found that the standard of living for many had increased because of the industrialization.

Death of Ulaz and Rise of President Gurjeevan Mann:

On September 3rd, 1971, Ulaz died from a heart attack. At the age of 64 he had tremendous amounts of pressure on him and doctors had predicted a month before that if he didn't release some pressure he would be dead in 1-3 months. When Ulaz died, the country was left leaderless for 3 days. In those three days, a silent power struggle occurred among top-officials. Finally, a man named Gurjeevan Mann (Harsimran’s father) came to power. He was a right-wing moderate that expressed beliefs in civil and political liberties. President Gurjeevan ended the dictatorship officially on October 12th, 1971. Only a few days after coming to office he instructed the writing of a new constitution and signed it on October 30th, 1971. In the next 100 days he made sweeping political changes to the structure of the government. He established the Congress for the first time in 48 years. The executive branch now had a counterbalance to prevent another dictatorship. He also established the Judicial Courts that would advice and keep laws inside the boundaries of the constitution. He also allowed Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Property, and Freedom of Ability. The political rights increased from rare to excellent according to UN reports. But civil liberties lacked in the following years. He also made great strides in cutting taxes while giving defense a bigger share of the pie. One of the few things that President Mann kept from Ulaz reign was his economic policies. Gurjeevan admitted that Ulaz's policies brought an expansion and tremendous growth in the industrial might of Harsimranster. In fact, Gurjeevan expanded the IAA to subways and office building production. By the end of the year public opinion was at 79% while economic growth was at 9.7%. President Gurjeevan Mann played down internationalism and supported isolationism when it came to foreign policy. He repealed many acts that helped developing countries and used the saved money to invest into the economy further causing growth. President Gurjeevan Mann officially resigned in 1981 after 10 years of serving as President. When he left office his approval ratings were at 87%, only below Yalsh's record of 94%.

Harman and the Unification of Space Union:

The succeeder to the office in 1981 was Harman Sidhu. He was a man of conservatism and believed in the policies of Gurjeevan Mann except for foreign policy. He thought that isolationism would bring weakness to the nation in the long-term. So in 1982, he started the Foreign Committee. Its job was to monitor foreign affairs and keep Harsimranster in the International stage. While moving drastically from President Mann in foreign policy he remained the same in domestic policy. He continued the encouragement of capitalism and expansion in industry. But he brought a new revolution in 1983. In an attempt to modernize Harsimranster's economy, President Harman enacted the Service Bill which encouraged Service Companies to move to Harsimranster. By the end of the year, 35% of the people were in the Service sector. In the next 10 years that number would more than double. As more people got white-collared jobs, the Standard of Living increased dramatically. People began making up to $20,000 averagely. They were able to buy cars, CD Players, computers, electronics, and other household items. The economy entered a period of tremendous economic boom. Growth in this period was recorded at 10%. But economic policies were not the highlight of Harman's career.

Space Union Formation:

In 1986, Harman met with delegates from 11 other nations. They wanted to form a pact that would destroy barriers and have an alliance. But in the end, all the nations decided on forming a union instead of an economic bloc and alliance. On March 14th, 1987, the 12 leaders from each nation signed a pact forming Space Union. Space Union would use the constitution of Harsimranster and be an Imperial Republic. Space Union would be a full nation with the member nations being provinces. Harman was elected the first leader of Space Union and the other nations got seats in the Congress of Space Union (CSU) according to the constitution. The unified nation had an All-Consuming economy and was an industrial powerhouse. All the nations accepted a new currency called the Spaco. By the end of the year, all major differences of the members were gone. For his success in unifying the nation, Harman received the Nobel Peace Prize along with an approval rating of 90.3%

President Harsimran Mann Comes To Power:

In 1989, Harman stepped down from office and Harsimran Mann (son of Gurjeevan Mann) was the first person elected by Space Union citizens to hold the Presidential office. Following his election, Harsimran initiated the Hyran Plan. It called on funding for education, increased defense spending, outlawing communism, and the more transition to service economy. His plan received staunch support from many citizens. On January 30th, 1990, CSU approved the plan and it went into law. In the following months, many more service companies came from abroad to Space Union fueling economic growth. By the end of 1990, the Service economy made up 61% of the economy. As jobs came the unemployment rate fell from 2.9% to 2.67%. Economic Growth topped at a rate of 8%. It was a time of prosperity and increase in the standard of livings. In the 1980s the average income was only $20,000 but by 1991, it had increased to $32,000. Harsimran's approval ratings went up to 89% only lower than Harman and Yarsh. Harsimran's foreign policy was directed mainly toward anti-communism. In 1992, Harsimran released the Anti-Communist Doctrine (ACD) that pledged support to any nation resisting communism or trying to topple communism. With his policies, Space Union for the first time came into the International stage as a major player. For the next 10 years, Harsimran continued his policies with no major events occurring in his presidency. Many people began thinking he was going to resign while others thought he might be plotting to become a dictatorship. But all that would change.

Azhem Conflict:

In 2000, a nation named Azhem began fighting against local communist guerillas. As the fighting escalated, Azhem asked for help from other nations. Communist governments came to the help of the guerillas while the capitalist countries came to Azhem's help. At first Space Union stayed neutral, but in August 2000, Harsimran asked CSU for giving aid to Azhem. They issued a direct order to come to Azhem's aid. At first it was just giving aid. Space Union gave away F-22, B-2, B-1B, M1A4 Abrams, M-4, M-16, and other equipment. But soon it was realized that supplies weren't enough. On September 13th, 2000, Space Union gave the green light to send in military aid. They sent the 1st-3rd Armies, 1st-3rd Naval Armadas, and 1st-3rd Air Armadas to defend. In its actions, Space Union made its first ally, Roach-Busters. Roach-Busters was a furiously right-wing, capitalist nation similar to Space Union in many aspects that was defending Azhem. With their cooperation, Space Union and Roach-Busters began building up forces in Azhem. But the conflict started dieing out before any fighting occurred. On October 6th, 2000, Space Union pulled out of the conflict. But the real highlight was that Space Union had made its first ally, Roach-Busters.

Disorder at Space Union:

After the Azhem Conflict, the support for the government was at a high of 71% but in the following months the support began falling. The main reason was the corruption. Many politicians in CSU were lining their pockets with money that should've gone to healthcare, welfare, and education. Along with that, Space Unionist were dismayed at the incompetence of the CSU to pass laws. Fierce debates occurred for months in the CSU over tiny problems that wasted millions of spacoes. President Harsimran saw this in dismay as well. He knew that public support was turning against the Imperial government. Slowly, the government was becoming weaker and weaker. It was time for change.

Imperial Republic Collapses and Federal Republic is Born:

In 2001, Harsimran took action and passed the Federal Bill that would turn the government into a Federal Republic by the end of the year. CSU members were infuriated at Harsimran and opened up impeachment trial for him. Citizens were furious. Citizens stormed CSU buildings in support of President Harsimran. CSU members, knowing that the Imperial Republic was almost dead, tried one last time to keep the republic intact. On January 3rd, 2002, the Imperial Republic hardliners ordered the 1st-3rd Armies to capture Harsimran and execute him along with subdue the protests. But the 1st-3rd met fierce opposition. The 4th-8th Armies stood between the Imperial Republic and Harsimran. Knowing that they would lose, the 1st-3rd surrendered along with the CSU members. On January 5th, 2002, all CSU members were impeached from their post and were forbidden to take any other public office in their lifetime. Few days later, Harsimran gave a powerful speech that ended the Imperial Republic and established the Federal Republic of Space Union.

Harsimran's Term of Federalism:

In the following year, Harsimran conducted his normal policies. He continued to call for economic growth and trend toward the service industry. 2002 saw the end of Congress of Space Union and the establishment of the Space Union House (SUH). It was a time of prosperity. Harsimran started cutting taxes to stir further economic growth. All the provinces began experiencing new growth as big business began moving into Space Union. Consumers began to buy more and more as the Space Union industrial capabilities grew along with service potential. Harsimran encouraged robotization by issuing the Robot Standard Bill. It provided tax breaks and subsidiaries to companies that used robots. Huge corporations started investing tremendously in robotics to replace human workers. As robotics took the place of humans in food and industrial production, production power quadrupled. But as robots took human manufacturing jobs, unemployment began to rise along with anti-government support. To help the workers, Harsimran expanded money in Education and setup and funded people’s college tuitions. By the end of 2002, 2 million dislocated workers enrolled into college with the new funding. Space Union began turning out more PhDs than it had ever. It also began producing a huge pool of white-collared skilled workers. To find work for these new workers, Harsimran gave further money to IT, Insurance, Advertising, Medical, Engineering, and Real Estate Industries. Companies in these industries used the money to expand and add jobs along with increase pay. By the end of March 2003, Space Union's government had spent $2 trillion on expanding the economy. For the next year, Space Union would continue to prosper but it would be short-lasted as Space Union entered a bloody war.

Thomasien Conflict:

In early 2004, the Soviet Union was revived and declared that they would attack any capitalist nations. Space Union followed their call by cutting diplomatic and economic ties with the nation. Other nations followed suit, with the nation of Trolsk mobilizing their army. In response a nation named Ankhmet came to the Soviet Union's protection. Space Union infuriated at Ankhmet told them to back down. But unlike other nation's Ankhmet continued their all-out support for the Soviet Union and threatened Trolsk along with Thomasien, a nation that had entered the scene to help Space Union. By March 2004, all peaceful possibilities were destroyed when Ankhmet invaded Thomasien, sparking the Thomasien War with Ankhmet vs. Space Union, Japanese Antartica, and Thomasien. Space Union declared war on hopes of stopping the spread of communism from Thomasien. Sending in the 1st-16th Armies, 1st-10th Naval Armadas, and 1st-6th Air Armadas, Space Union began the war with a counterstrike and halting the invasion by Ankhmet at a military post. The war stagnated at that area for the rest of the conflict. Ankhmet then opened a second front at the southern part of Thomasien. Thomasien forces collapsed in the area but started a full-scale guerilla war against Ankhmet. Back in the north, General Nitz commanded the 1st-4th Armies into attacking a nearby city. The battle raged for a while before ending with the victory of Space Union but at great costs. Many had died and lots of vehicles had been lost. No more gains would be made in the northern front for the rest of the war. But in the south, Ankhmet setup trenches but strikes by cruise missiles, air bombs, and artillery began softening the target. Soon Space Union started an invasion but Ankhmet troops were able to repel Space Union troops. The stalemate began to infuriate some high commanders. So in August 2004, Space Union commanders began to draw up Operation Tides of Change. It would be a massive invasion to stop Ankhmet and push them out of Thomasien land for good. It called upon the air bombing campaigns for 2 days along with cruise missile and artillery bombardments. Followed by the bombardment tanks equipped with shovels would plow through trenches and bury the men alive. It would be a costly operation but would take place with Japanese Antarctican troops. Japanese Antarctica had entered the war in April, and made progress deep in the south. But before Operation Tides of Change could be made functional, Ankhmet and Space Union signed a truce. But neither side has signed a peace treaty leaving both sides technically at war with each other still along with destroying any possibility of diplomatic and economic ties.

Recent History:

Space Union has become more actively involved around the world but this time not against communism. Anti-Communism has severed down in Space Union with cooperation with a former adversary Pushka. Space Union has opened the doors to a couple of diplomatic ties. Recent allies have emerged in Credonia and other nations. The other major war faced by Space Union was in the Saharistan War. Here Space Union helped smaller nations defeat the extremist nation of Saharistan. Currently the country has been split with a piece going to Space Union called SU Saharistan. $9 trillion is currently being spent on fixing the economy and restarting the entire region by Space Union and the other countries. In other matters, Harsimran has adopted Enterprisism that allows for greater representation for corporations. Life has generally gone up for the average citizen because of this change. Along with this, Space Union has moved from its former stance as more aggressive to now a much more peaceful nation. Space Union has also joineed a couple of noticable alliances such as the International Allied Defense Force and the Woodstock Pact, forming tighter bonds with many allies and forming alliances with first-time encountered nations.

Federatism and the Federative Republic:

One of the main moments in Space Union history has to be its adoption of the Federative-Republican System in its new constitution. The new constitution was passed in November and established the Federative Sikh Republic of Space Union. Under this, the President has been replaced by the Federate along with many other governmental structures. The first Federate is Harsimran Mann. But that was soon to change. In the beginning of January, the nation of Pacitalia declared that they would not attend a conference with Space Union if Harsimran switched the country to Absolute Capitalism. The result was that the public learned of this and went into protest to Harsimran's dismay. Other nations joined in the banner to end the switch but Harsimran fearing that things may escalate had Martial Law installed to stop the protesting, which had turned violent in some regions. This caused an international outcry that pushed for Harsimran to resign. After a brutal 36 hours that saw Space Union edge toward civil war, Harsimran finally resigned and former Prime Minister Satpul Singh became the interim Federate of the Union.
